If u are just looking for an ab workout I have a newer one that is a bit more gentle: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aamVdqaXhtWKg6c Many ppl say crunching/curling is a no for DR but the more current research I’ve seen says it’s likely ok: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37286390/

Wow...the change in my body in just these nine days ins amazing... I'm seeing some change in my progress photos, but the big change is in how my body is working... I can FEEL my abs engage deeply, I can do more of the crunches without holding onto my neck and head, ... my body is working better in just nine days! Thank you for these videos!

This is like physical therapy and a workout in one. My back feels amazing ! Never have done anything quite like this and I tried a lot of different workouts. Love it and thank you so much for these free workouts Rachel!!

I’m following your 28-Day challenge and I really love how you explain each move & where we should feel it … really helps me focus on form. Also, love how you keep it real and tell us when it’s hard for you lol I don’t feel so alone 😊

Day 17 🎉 this is the one where you go check your abs in the mirror afterwards and even if you can't see a difference for sure, you know you *felt* a difference from day 5! Thank you, Rachel! ❤

today I did day 8 and 9 as I know, I´m not gonna be able do to a workout tomorrow and I feel really good. I'm already starting to feel and see slight changes in my legs. I also feel so comfortable with you that skipping a workout, for me, is not an option (except I´m not feeling well of course. I think it's important to say that if we don't feel good and have pain, workout is then not helpful which you also said.) I also believe, I talk for all of us, if I say I'm very grateful for the work you do with the videos🥰

Really great Rachel, thank you. Here I am for day 5. The last oblique exercise was a bit rough so instead of putting my hand on my hip, I put it on the floor. It was easier for my current level. See you tomorrow.

I'm loving this I've been doing it for 4 days but I'm doing two days each time so I'm actually on day 8. I used to be really fit but I stopped working out for some reason a few years ago. It feels so good to be back at it. Really like your energy and love these videos. Thank you ❤

a slightly shorter workout, but AWESOME! I feel wore out in a great way! I was actually able to do the routine properly. I'm definitely feeling and achieving more flexibility as I progress through your program.

I can't wait to try this!! I almost got a subscription to some 'app' and then saw the awful reviews. I've skimmed through these videos and I love how well they are explained and that a person can try these exercises without being stuck in some subscription hell with no help.

made it to day 17! In the workout from 9 min I placed a small cushion under my lower back bcz it was quite uncomfortable & tried to modify the moves still focusing on my abs. It's good to know that the workouts can be easily adapted.

Thank you doing an amazing job. It’s such a motivation to get some fitness on the schedule. I need a little help with the side plank. Very weak after child birth. Plank balance has been a problem on the arm and weak legs. Do provide some tips with plant and and hold legs straight with out bending please.

its ok to bend and that is actually a great way to modify. u can bend your bottom leg for now or both if needed

Recently I found your channel and yesterday I started with the 7 day challenge which is great!! Today I was struggling with my head and the muscles in my neck doing the exercise with the legs up to the wall and coming up with stretched arms. I didn’t stretch my arms but supported my head. Any other suggestions? ❤🇳🇱

You can totally support your head and just flex up, that’s absolutely fine, the main point is getting the crunch in ☺️

Hi Rachel hello from India! I completed day 5 today - in my whole life this is the only challenge which i have completed so far. I am really hoping to complete the 28 days. I am in my late 30s and used to be around 53 kgs before lockdown. In the whole lockdown, working from home, stress eating, managing home, work and kid has taken a total toll on my mental and physical health. I have gained around 20 kgs in the last 4 years! A lot of people are shocked when they see me after a gap. None of my clothes fit. I want to lose weight but never motivated enough. I am really glad I found you and following the routine since the last 5 days. I know i wont lose this extra 20 kgs in 28 days but i surely feel good about myself. Thanks a bunch!

Day 9 done 55 yo lady finding her abs after these challenges they don't show yet lol but I feel them in there and they are stronger...I will admit I'm slower but really trying to focus on doing the exercises correctly feeling them where I'm supposed to instead of flailing around trying to keep up lol.. one yay for me today was up for all 30 sec! No breaks this is a huge improvement for me! After some humbling ab workouts I needed a little win and although small that was it! See you tomorrow! 💪❤

Day 17 done 🎉 Today I focused on going up and down with control instead of flopping like a whale on the ground with a thud. Proud of myself m! Also, what are isometric movements? I have deep appreciation for you and these videos. It makes it accessible to people like me who would never dare to take a wall pilates class in a public setting cuz of the mental blocks. Now I can say “I’ll take a wall pilates class”

Aw I love that! Truthfully wall Pilates is rarely done as a full class like these, but if it makes u go to any type of Pilates class that is great! And isometric movements are when your muscles are doing work but not shortening (contracting) or lengthening.. think like plank.. muscles are working in an isometric way, different than the concentric way of doing crunches, but both are challenging the ab muscles

@rachelfitpilates Really love your wall pilates program. You're a fantastic instructor because I do not enjoy working out but I am committed to sticking with this program. Week 2 I'm starting to notice increased neck/shoulder pain the next mornings. Any suggestions or modifications?

Hi Rachel! I was wondering if you had any tips for me in regards to neck strain? I find I am tensing my neck even when engaging my core when I come up in the exercise. Thanks, love the vid.

Hi Piper! So glad u loved the video! When you feel tension in your neck, try to flex up more if possible, and if that doesn’t relieve it, you can keep your hands by your head for support, or in the case of some of my other videos with arm exercises while flexing up, you can keep your head down. The stronger your abdominals get over time, the more you can flex up though the upper back and have the muscular endurance to stay there, allowing the head to be in a more comfortable position.. it doesn’t hang back as much because with that greater flexion, your head is naturally brought forward more. I had the same issue when I started Pilates but with practice and the abs strengthening, you’ll be shocked at how easy it is to stay up without slowing lowering because of fatigue! Something to work towards and a great way to measure progress. I hope that helps! 🙂

Thank you so much for these videos! Day 9 and going strong! As a postpartum c-section mom, these side planks trigger my lower core muscles as they recover so it’s uncomfortable- what do you suggest as an alternative?

Love the wall pilates. Question: What is the best way to incorporate this 28 day challenge with a daily regular weight lifting and cardio programme? Do I alternate between the 28 day challenge and previous programme or add to the end of previous programme. Thanks so much

if you feel up to it I would add to the beginning or the end! Or on days where it's a short workout, you could choose to do 2 videos and on days the workout is longer, you can pick just one video of the day

Thank u I’m glad u enjoy them! For the ab work u can support your head if it’s more comfortable.. if u look at some of my more recent videos I show how to do ab exercises supporting your head.. it should be more comfortable until u build up more strength and endurance in the ab and neck muscles!

I came across your workouts last week and lemme tell you i'm loving them,doing this 7 day one first and then moving on to the other videos,what I love about them is that the're not long but very efficient, and you make it easy to follow..I'm sooooo in love with your wall pilates workout,the're perfect for me.The hardest part for me to lose is my tummy and I love the fact that your workouts target the stomach even when you're working a diiferent part of the body..keep up the good work.😊

Those are definitely hard! I would try to keep your legs higher up when you extend them out. The lower you go the more challenging it is. So pointing them up towards the corner of the ceiling for example instead of out in front of your should help it feel better!

Complete! 🎉 The only thing that was hard for me, was when we had to go onto our forearms. I feel like that area is a big area for me to get stronger and more flexible, it was hard for me to stay up. I feel like my chest is too wide to put my forearms down without being at an angle. It could have been my hardwood floor too. Overall, I really liked this workout. Down 16# so far! 🎉

loving the 28 day challenge. I wanted to ask about the breathing. I am used to exhaling on the work - ie. on the crunch, and when lifting legs on lower ab work. Is that also the case with pilates?
