I bought some of these in 7.5, didn't really notice a whole lot of difference between these 1oz and the 3/4 oz in the field besides the recoil. I still haven't patterned them yet.

Can the wad be trimmed down, and the shell shortened for a 3/4 oz load? Or is it better to add space inside the wad like a round piece of cardboard. I ordered everything for a text book 1oz load of 8 shot in my 28 gauge. Just curious. Thanks

I’d like to see your clone-ish of this 1oz. Keep up the great sub-gun work.

How does one know the difference between an AA-HS hull ( like these super X's) and a regular AA hull? Is the HS hull considered a straight hull? Ive got a bunch to reload in 28G, and wanting to make sure I use the right wad....lol..

HS hulls will have "HS" stamped on it somewhere. The HS is considered a straight wall hull. If you look at Hodgdon's web site they have tons of load data for the HS hull and the older compression formed hull. Just make sure your using data for the HS hull.
