Great video not a bad waterhole gun for doves, and or jumping bob whites , which require you to be quick on the swing for sure. Your videos are some of the best so clearly explained. I feel it is good to not push the 410 too hard on speed. It is capable and that is what hunting is all about the challenge. Keep up the good work.

410 can be a bit frustrating at times. I've thought about making a video on literally the challenges of the 410....but It would probably be 2hrs long.. LOL

@bullet225ho I would like to see more ideas on making a homemade press for the .410. Maybe more people will want the little. 410 more and prices will come down.I can see paying $400 for a Mec press when my hand tools will get er done.

I found some Federal used hulls from a seller in New York and they are in great shape. I have not got the nerve up to buy that 410 over/under are side/side yet. Great video and please keep the great work.

Bought 10 boxes of the top gun stuff a few weeks ago. I've found them to load quite well. Also starting to play with 3/8oz and 1/2 oz loads of 9-1/2 tss for Chukkar and teal over decoys.

I have been using #6 bismuth for woodducks on the creek. 5/8oz load. It did well for that and a pheasant. I am looking at trying the tss shot this fall.

I am a huge fan of the .410. I think that for a hunting shell you need a 3" hull to get enough shot. I mostly shoot doves, rabbits, and wood ducks. Every once in a while a pheasant. When I was a kid we shot 3" Winchester XX paper shells that were either 4 or 6 shot. 4's were not the best choice for quail, but I think we were limited by what was on the hardware store shelf.

I've come to the same realization. I'm actually all for doves with 3" 3/4oz 410 and even rabbits. Squirrels???? I just grew up shooting them with 5's and 6's. So,.....I don't have a ton of confidence with 410 and squirrels in the top of a big hickory.

@@bullet225ho Yeah, for squirrels in the top of a big tree I would usually go with the .22 barrel. If it was a small grey one maybe if I had #6's. 4's just have too open a pattern. The big red ones I just would go with the .22 barrel. It's hard to find 3/4oz .410 loads or 3" shells in general. It's almost all 2 1/2" stuff. Probably for those Judge revolvers.

Great video Mr. Bullet!!!!!! I’ve always found the federal and remongton shells pattern better than the aa. Not much better, but better for sure. Your lilgun powder produces the highest pressures of any of the powder’s available. It’s very hard on hulls. Also I think you’ll get even better patterns with the alliant 300mp that you have in your shelf behind you. For the majority of the 1,300 fps loads, the chamber pressures will be about 1,000 to 2,000 less than using lilgun!!!! I load and shoot 2 1/2” and 3” 410’s all the time. Shoot 150-250 41.’s every week. It’s the only gun I can shoot now. Your correct in your ideas regarding 410 empties, any make of shell works now that we can’t find factory ammo nowadays. Thanks for your interesting video!!! I never get tired of looking at 410 patterns! Even someone else 410 patterns!!! I’m a new subscriber this afternoon.

Great video, keep the information flowing! I use 12.5-12.8 gr. of Lil’ Gun with those same wads in 2.5” Fiocchi and Cheddite hulls as well as Winchester AA HS. I load them with a 1/2 oz of #8 and use them on snakes, the MG-410 wads give me a little more range but the clay buster wads are my go to for snakes hands down. The weather has warmed up and I’ve been putting these to work!

Good vid my friend but also remember , the gun do not like that load also 28 in barrel will not reach clay , so many factors but one y clever , the gun , i have a rizzini sig with alien e3 or clay buster or re dot etc , recup 7 1/2 pellet recup wads will shoot (32 in barrel) 23 and 25 clay every day even 5 up or 5dawn grains , alway when you reload shoot with full choke it's better period

Great video ! Briley extended choke XF and Full should give you a good pattern at 35 yards. Shooting #9’s and 8 1/2’s will help fill in the pattern for clay shooting. Normally I shoot #8’s for clays but 8 1/2’s are pretty awesome because the shot is harder than #9’s. I only shoot 7 1/2’s at rabbit targets and stuff that’s way out there. AA’s are the best performing loads for my gun. Keep up the great work!! Love the pattern videos !! Thank you for sharing this.

What shotgun are you using for your patterning? My TriStar Viper G2 loves the federal top gun load, Mine has the 28" barrel and I use Carlsons extended chokes

For these I was using Tristar Cobra II pump. It doesn't quit shoot as good as my Viper G2

Yes, There are a few, I know Federal and Winchester do in 3" not sure about 2.5" I have data available and a video on 3" steel in 410

I was thinking of buying some of these for Target reloading purposes but the site says 8 segment crimp was wondering if your box says 8 cuz if I'm not mistaken that's a 6 segment
