Mate....I'm Blue to the bone, but I love Gordy Tallis. To me he has always represented how a man should carry himself. Heart of Gold, tough as teak!

As a Townsville boy myself Gorden Tallis is a legend and such an understated example, I never knew the true man behind the raging bull. What a proud family man and even apologising to Harrigan, this is a special person.

Went to Suncorp dressing room one time through footlocker who was promoting the Nikey footy boots and they heard Gordy was at the bar this was a Thursday night. They ask if he could come talk about the new boots. Bit tipsy he said yeah why not. While speaking my mate said something I found funny. Gordy notice and ask mate what’s so funny? Why are you laughing. I said or nah nothing mate while my life flashed before my eyes it was me in a blues #1 jersey getting ragged doll by the ragging bull himself. Safe to say I never spoke or smiled the rest of the light 😅

Great story! I believe Gordy is a man of integrity, morals and RESPECT! You can tell he’s the most down to earth man and he’ll give everyone respect but as soon as you show him disrespect or anyone his with disrespect, he’ll turn faster than Ike on Tina Turner 😂😂😂 But that’s the type of men you were dealing with back then, they are gentlemen and as soon as you cross the line, they were very direct and confrontational… Did you see how he questioned Cooper in this interview about Cooper laughing and Gordy asked him, “What’s funny mate, about being a single Dad?” When Gordy was talking about Reece Walsh being a single Dad, Cooper was laughing but Cooper cleared up that he wasn’t laughing at Reece Walsh

The big fella cops some stick these days. Met him years ago on great Keppel Island, we had been fishing for 12 days and probably smelt like a fish market but Gordy was chatting and asking how we went. Don't think hid gf/wife was too happy 😂

Lies gordie! I saw you with Dane carlaw at beach hotel in Byron Bay on your end of season trip (Bali not possible due to bombing) in early '00s with 2 smoking blondes. They were hanging off your guns! One may have been your missus, but two? But you did have hair then.

The Dragons gave Gordon a great opportunity and a start to his rugby league career and he repaid them by not opting to not continuing to play at the famous club and to sit out for a year. To be honest I didn’t rate him as he was a player I think whenever he lost form he resorted to grubby play fighting and cheap tactics.
