Congrats Jeremy!! Wicked bad ass rifle! I didn't know the 1:9 twist would stabilize the 195 EOL. Good info

Killer Frisbee! I see this dude in a lot of LRSU videos and he's always shooting well. It turns out he reamed his own barrel too? This dude is a monster on a rifle

This is prob my favorite channel! Love seeing the different rifles from "budget" to "no budget" and see what they can do. Hope to be able to do this one day

Where is your range located in Utah?
@LongRangeShootersofUtah
@LongRangeShootersofUtah 7 жыл бұрын
It's not "our" range, it's owned and operated by Carbon County and it's located just outside of Price, Utah. If you go to our website www.longrangeshootersofutah.com/ranges it's the first one listed. All the info for the range is there. Thanks for watching.

That was beautiful. Congrats on a great shoot. What is the barrel life you're expecting out that barrel given you're running 195's at 3100fps? Well done also on building your rifle up.

Question: is a 28 Nosler better then a 7 Mag for long range shooting?
@LongRangeShootersofUtah
@LongRangeShootersofUtah 6 жыл бұрын
Anthony Chavez there’s really no such thing as better because like everything there’s a trade off. Is an F350 better than an F-150? Depends on your use case right. Commuting & light duty the f-150 is perfect and f-350 is overkill and so on. The 28 nosler has significantly more powder behind it so you can push heavier bullets faster. For shooting further that’s a benefit but it comes at the cost of $, barrel life and recoil. Also it’s really long so chassis and mag options may be more limited. If you want the most efficient 7mm consider the 7 saum or 7 wsm. Both will push a 180 gr bullet at the same or great velocity than the rem mag but with about 10 gr less powder plus they’re both short actions rather than long. Check this out... 7 saum shooting 183’s at 3000 FPS 4th shot hit at 2000 yards on a milk jug!

I was thinking of chambering my 7mag into 28 Nosler for the Berger 195. Its a kreiger 8 twist MTU barrel. I just need help with powder type and start amount that works best. I can tell you guys know the answer. Help a Canadian out!

I have a Rem M700 that I want to convert from 7mm Rem Mag to 28 Nosler. The 28 Nosler is based off the beltless .404 Jeffery case. This is the same basic case as the Remington Ultra Mags, but shortened to fit in a standard .30-06 length action instead of a full magnum length action. It is more over bore than the older 7mm Rem Mag, so you will get more erosion at the throat and shorter barrel life, but you'll also get 200+ fps more out the gate from the same length barrel. The Rem Mag is also based off the belted Holland and Holland case and may require extra steps during handloading to get it headspacing off the shoulder instead of the belt for best case life and accuracy. So more recoil and less barrel life but easier to load for accuracy and more performance from the 28 Nosler.

Id like to try the 1000yd milk jug but i have a sporter contour .300WM and it would take me forever to shoot 10rnds. Considering i have to let the barrel cool down for consistency's sake.

Hayden Pierce it’s a 14 gauge mild steel plate that the shooters buy and take home as a souvenir. You could hammer a nail thru it if you needed. Most steel we shoot is 1/4-3/8” AR500 steel that can take a 50 cal from 50 yards without a mark

exactly. this one dude with 28 nosle on here has a 3shot .05moa group at 820 yards literally so im sure he can shoot a .15 moa group at 1200 and .25moa group at 1500 and this is out of a Browning X bolt max varmint/target 26in. 1-8twist 28 nosler . Dont need shit cake kreiger barrels or defiance actions. NEed skill that is all.
