this man just said if he wants to connect at a mile "I'd normally reach for one of my .284 winchesters, but this one had the dope I needed in the rail". my dude flexing that he can reach out to a mile on a short action caliber!

We need to get you out here for the next International Shoot my friend. This high altitude would have that rifle doing amazing things.

Long Range Shooters of Utah, LLC I enjoyed the drone flight which helped show how far a mile is. I also enjoyed the deleting of the view through the spotting scope. I know it help illustrate things like mirage and bullet splash but it is so distorted it loses my interest quickly. I think it would be interesting to hook it up to the rifle every once in a while to see what the shooter actually sees. I realize that it would be a rare occurrence due to the volume of shooters but it seems an occasional one would be beneficial to kind of see what these top flight shooters are seeing. Anyway, great channel. I really appreciate your content.

Please excuse my ignorance, but what did he mean when he said it was the only one he had with the "cradle" to shoot that far?
@cpakkala6 жыл бұрын
Jim Williams he said "rail". Most Scopes don't have enough range of motion in the turrets to accommodate Target's that far away; so you need a scope rail with enough angle to it to compensate.

Im just getting into precision rifle matches (I have my first coming up next weekend). I have a Savage 110 BA stealth in 300 win mag that id like to use to compete until I can get a bolt action 6.5 creedmoor built which could be a year or so. The 110 BA stealth weighs in at 16 pounds with the 10 round AICS mag fully loaded. Any suggestions on what I could do to make it more competition ready? Thanks! PS. I load 208gr ELD Match bullets for it, but for competition ammo id like to run something that will reduce recoil as much as possible while maintaining good ballistics. Any thoughts on that as well?

Make the rifle heavier and add a muzzle brake if you haven't already. With a good muzzle brake and a 16-18 lb rifle it should recoil much. If you dont' already have a Sidewinder Dope Card hold I would strongly advise you get one. We carry them on our website. Also a good set of bags and a sling. I haven't put them on the website yet but I have several Sarge's Shooting Bags in stock. They're filled with extremely light weight foam pellets and specifically designed for PRS shooters. I also carry Rifle's Only Slings. They can be helpful when shooting from barricades and lugging around your rifle at the competition. The eberlestock low drag backpack is the most popular way to carry all your gear and rifle around at the match. email me if you'd like those sarges bags, the rest of the items are always available on our website. info@longrangeshootersofutah.com If you sign up as a patron at www.patreon.com/lrsu I'll give you my phone number and you can call and ask questions, get advise. Thanks for watching.

How much optical zoom is need on a camcorder to see impacts at 1000yards
@LongRangeShootersofUtah7 жыл бұрын
You could get away with 20x but 35x would be better. You'll never complain about having too much zoom.

Reel-Lentless What is it?
@df36244 жыл бұрын
Reel-Lentless That sucks... I'm waiting on a new Benelli from Italy.... So who knows when that'll show up now. But yeah I'm planning a 28 Nosler build and I'm exploring my options. Thinking X-Bolt Pro Long Range w/ Nightforce ATACR 5-25. Thinking up what loads I can try. Would love to push a 175gr over 3200fps out of the 28" barrel. May have a Silencer Co Omega Suppressor to throw on some day as well. Just wanting to get into the long range world

Did you ever build a 28 Nosler? Just recently built a 7-300 PRC that pushes 185 Nosler RDFs to 3250 with IMR8133
