If the films are a huge hit, I would love to see a streaming service like Amazon or Netflix contract Boyle and Garland, and get them to create a mini series prequel like 28 Hours Later, showing the UK falling to the rage virus... While I've always enjoyed the first two films, and am looking forward to the upcoming films, I always wanted to see the virus outbreak unfold... the police and military blocking off streets, fighting waves of the infected... refugee camps being set up, police stations and hospitals getting swarmed with infected etc... Would make an interesting story to fill in the gaps and could even bring back Salena and Mark and show how they came to meet up during the outbreak.
@blackdandelion554911 күн бұрын
With this infection the rage takes over so quickly I would not imagine that anyone who was bit or had any bodily fluid contact would ever make it to the hospital unless they were standing in front of one. PD couldn't move and organize quick enough to do anything and I would expect the military to be the bigger players as only they know what got out and would know an area needs to be sanitized if infected have been there. I hope that facility was far enough from society to give them a min to try and mobilize a response w/ military weapons.
@AlanJohnson9211 күн бұрын
@blackdandelion5549 no I mean like, the infection started in Cambridge, so it would be interesting to see it spread from there, down into London, up into Birmingham, small towns etc, and seeing the infected attack places that you'd assume would be safe havens, police stations, hospitals, army barracks etc... It would've taken the infected a good few days to reach Liverpool from Cambridge, so I'd have loved to have seen the local response from the police and hospitals trying to find ways to prevent it from getting inside the stations and hospitals.
@blackdandelion554910 күн бұрын
@@AlanJohnson92 No, I do understand and I think that it would be interesting to watch it spread and how people do deal with it. Some stay in their homes and businesses. Some try to fight it. Emergency systems become overwhelmed and go down. In 28 weeks later we see the husband running from the house they were all staying in that was outside of a city that had all doors and windows covered and barricaded. . .did others do the same? and was this people they knew or did people simply work with anyone who was still alive? I can't imagine everyone is trustworthy and would not sacrifice a group member (push them) to save their own skin in some situations. I would also like to see it from different POV's like seeing it from a civilian vs a cop vs a military officer receiving orders to a hospital worker and how it all went down. It also doesn't seem like the infected sleep or feel muscle pain so time of spread could be estimated as running at full speed of following cars trying to escape from those areas.

In the meantime, I recommend reading "Death of a Nation" on fanfiction, it's been there for quite a while and is a hidden gem in my opinion, it's about the first days of the outbreaks and paints a very interesting picture.
@AlanJohnson929 күн бұрын
@@yourneighbourhooddoomer That's exactly what i've been reading over the past couple weeks... It would be amazing to actually see a prequel series showing some of the early carnage of the outbreak.

The Bone Temple sounds like a strange title relating to this franchise. Up to now I feel as if its been fairly grounded (as much as it can be anyway). The Bone Temple to me sounds Indiana Jonesish, certainly a step away from the franchises usual direction

As much as I'm looking forward to the next instalment, I can't help but feel it's all going to become a bit "The Walking Dead" and lots of the imagery from the new trailer reminds me of just that.
