So far, so good. The top lip on the QA plate is only 1/4" and did bend a tiny bit, but I think my reinforced weld is holding it from bending more. We'll see... Thanks!

Working well so far... we'll see how it holds up over time. Most of the time I see little tractors or big skid steers using stump buckets that are drastically different in construction/materials. My Massey is somewhere in the middle of all that. I hope this DIY unit holds up!

@@FabbedFun Hello Logan, I think there is a sweet spot between length of the bucket for digging and shortness of the bucket for break out force. As you play with yours, it will be great to see how you feel you have met that, in your design. All the best, Ben

Love to see the Lincoln stick welder under your bench. I bought a new one about 10 years ago but can't bring myself to stop using the old buzz box my dad built minning buggy's with when i was 6. Im 70 now

Wow. That's a really awesome history! I think there are better machines and more fine-tuning for situations, but mild steel and a buzz box get's the basic jobs done very well. So I'll be using it for a long time I hope!

Wasn't much my dad couldn't do. I was the baby of the family. If my brothers weren't in the way I could have learned a lot more but I can't complain not much hands on that I can't do.well I should say if my body wasn't worn out. Now I only watch people like you do what I wish I still could.

A lifetime of experience and wisdom is worth a lot, especially these days. My dad would always tell me "here's a lesson that won't cost you a dime" when he was telling us about a bad experience he wanted to save us from.

I think, with 20+ acres and plenty of trees, it will be worth it. My overall cost was low. If you have less land, less trees, and have to buy a factory stump bucket, it's a much harder decision. But yes, I can give a review after using it a while.
