Don't have all the dimensions. The box blade is at a friend's about a half hour away. I'm pretty sure it was a six foot blade. The main square tube was about 4"x4" with 1/4" thick walls if I remember right.

Use a Dayton 1 5/8 shaft collar split 2 piece item number 1L707 this will fit the on the splines and can use locktite on the Allen head bolts to keep the shaft collar in place which allows the CAD collar to float. Cost 19.99 Amazon!

Logan - your videos are great. Needing to upgrade my current tractor, looking at the 2600H series. Have you always used regular diesel instead of the red-dyed #2 (cheaper) in your 2607? Curious if Massey recommends one over the other, although I think they're the same except for the red dye...
@FabbedFun19 күн бұрын
The red dye is just to allow for federal agents to "audit" the use of untaxed diesel fuel in vehicles on the road. They do have agents that go around and check, but they are usually targeting companies more than individuals. I don't think Massey calls for one over the other. My local gas station only carries on-road diesel, so I use it.

My 2000 Eddie Bauer got so much moisture in it this winter I flashed the the thing up and it ran like dog water , ran perfect before parked so it’s moisture that likely hooped my coil packs, wires, and plugs, I’ll start with the fuel filter because I haven’t done it, then I’ll do plugs but before I replace the packs I’ll coat the pack bottoms in die electric grease and make sure no oil or moisture in my plug holes and throw em back in and test drive it under load with fresh plugs and filter , I always extended e36 coil packs life with the grease

New to the yj world. So after doing this mod will it be in 4wd all the time or can I still engage it with the 4wd shifter?
@FabbedFun3 ай бұрын
The 4wd will still be engaged and disengaged at the transfer case. This just keeps the front axle connected to the differential, so when power from the transfer case goes through the front driveshaft, it always powers the front axle. You don't have to wait for the vacuum engagement on the front axle. On cold days, I've been left stuck in 2wd because the CAD wouldn't engage. So the bypass fixes it.

Hello Logan. I made a pickaroon yesterday from a cheap hatchet, it works great. I made another this morning, it works terribly. I am guessing the point geometry is very important. I am going to try one like yours next. Thanks, Ben
@keen96294 ай бұрын
When you drill a hole all the way through, put a carriage bolt 4 inches long which now becomes the pick part and method for securing it. First grind down the corners and when in place weld it solid.

Wet and forget is my go-to. D2 is just a bit pricey and wet and forget gets the job done just fine. Btw, do you have any ties to Hurst/Heurst of Illinois?
@FabbedFun5 ай бұрын
I believe my Hursts came through Virginia to Tennessee briefly, then up through Kentucky to southern Indiana. We have been in southern Indiana since around 1800 if I remember the timeline correctly. There are some branches of the family tree that spread out from TN and IN. It's possible I'm related to them. There is also some confusion as to the origin of some Hursts. With spelling changes over time, some German origins are confused with English origins. So... maybe... maybe not... lol

Wow. That's a really awesome history! I think there are better machines and more fine-tuning for situations, but mild steel and a buzz box get's the basic jobs done very well. So I'll be using it for a long time I hope!

Since almost nobody offers a bucket leveler for the small tractors its only a matter of time till someone borrows it, raises it to high and there goes you hood or worse. To prevent that i made a brush guard for the bucket from a section of mobile home frame. Sloped the top corners just passed the jacks put weld on hooks for chains on the outside edges, 2 D rings for straps on the top corners, and a 2in receiver in the middle, cut a couple round holes to line up with headlights and some 1 1/2 slots in the middle section so i can see whats going on in the bucket. Looks and works great. If you want I'd be glad to send you a pic.
