I hope this doesn’t come off as boasting but Calvary Chapel doesn’t have smoke machines , paid music acts , paid concerts and as the founder Chuck Smith always said ; Where God guides He provides. I’ve heard from friends that some churches spend 100 thousand dollars a year on music and outside entertainers. They are in shock when I tell them that Calvary Chapel doesn’t spend money on such things . I now attend the Mega Church in Chino Hills Ca . Calvary Chapel under Jack Hibbs is a biblically based Christian church , that still teaches the Bible line by line and verse by verse. Your statements are correct tho - we the believers are the church; not the building

@HeavenlyMindedHome 😔 Couldn’t agree with you more…I watch nearly nothing but you popped into my feed and I thought okay what could this possibly say. In 2019 Abba showed how He would close all the doors in America of “churches”, should be in a video on my channel. I would love if you could watch it and reach back out to me. In 2021 Abba had me stop listening to Christian music for a week, for a long time before I would just worship and sing in my own and then people started sharing worship music with me. Long story short I fasted worship music for a week (didn’t and don’t listen to secular at all). After the week I sent to put on a song and it was SOOO GREASY which Abba let’s me see symbolizing “lust”. I looked up the leader online and found articles of inappropriate wedding photos him and his wife had taken…perverted and a disgrace. Now I understood the spirit of lust on his WORSHIP MUSIC…heartbreaking. I’ll find the link to my video to share with you here kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJTSfmijnpuagJIsi=5OnyT3t0gR6iI8lY

@@bobdees6428 sadly ours here in Albuquerque does, lights, and screen behind the pastor when preaching. Last time I went to a service there he taught on gifts and there was a subtle (yet not so subtle image of dollar bills behind him) yet no mention of money in actual teaching just spiritual and natural gifts of helps. Deceiving And he speaks a lot about the Jews & Israel as though they should be glorified. Huge push towards the deception of Judaic roots when the religion of Judaism did t exist until 600 bc, a mixture of true Bible with Babylonianism. Hence why Jesus had to come to correct them. Judaism is demonic, antichrist and Jesus in no way ever practiced the religion of the Jews, He did however keep the Old Testament (hewbraic in nature not Jewish). The Word of God belongs to all 12 tribes not just the tribe of Judah and Judah was only picked to have Messiah born though then they were cutoff as they played the harlot like the rest of the tribes. Sorry on a tangent…point is our Calvary is very much supporting and sending money to an antichrist nation of secular demonic people, even scripture says it will be like Sodom and egypt in the end times. Rev 11 I believe. Those born of Sarah are Israel

@HeavenlyMindedHome I just got to the part “stand with Israel” and “replacement theology”, there’s too much I could say regarding these things…I don’t know where to begin. My husband and I are full time ministers bringing people to the cross not to Judaism or “Christianity”. We had a home group of mixed from both side come out of tradition and lies of tradition and religion for about 3 years until He had us move onto something else, in the midst of developing land for a home ministry. We very much had to keep from falling into the deception of the messianic and Hebrew roots movements as we ministered among them. I wore a head covering for several years led by Abba to do so and still from time to time as He leads, we keep the Biblical Calendar, not Hillel, Sighted Moon or Gregorian. We keep the Feast of Abba which we’re given to all 12 Tribes not just to the tribe of Judah and we keep them how Abba intended not in the ways He ended up hating and bringing an end to them; written jn Hosea and Amos. No tradition and not doing anything that can’t be found in scripture and what is in scripture having the Holy Spirit to teach us from the Tree of Life and not the Tree of knowledge of good and evil. You can find us here ‘Under His Covering’, haven’t done a video in a while as busy building what Abba has asked of us. Thank you so much for reading and reaching out if able. May Abba continue to bless you and your husband. Shalom

COMPLETELY AGREE. I went through a very difficult time at one point and had my electricity turned off, and had a sick mother at home. So I called or tried to call at least 18 churches for help, and NOT ONE would help. Most of the beautiful buildings didn't even have anyone to pick up the phone. They've put on concerts on Sundays but couldn't help a person who desperately needed temporary help. I realized then and there, the church has nothing to do with Jesus or His Father. I don't go to church anymore, but I continue to follow Jesus (almost obsessively :) and read the Bible.

If your pastor doesn’t teach Torah you’re still in the wrong place. Jesus said he did not come to abolish the law. The working and doing business on Saturday is a direct violation of God’s commandments to the People. We have to learn His law so His grace will only cover our failures not our entire lifestyles. Read Romans, read the letter from Paul. “Should we sin more then that we get more grace? God forbid!” Ask your pastor about Torah and why he doesn’t teach it. Maybe he will start teaching it once he sees it’s still not forsaken in the New Testament and Jesus said “I have come not to abolish the law but to fulfill it” (he fulfilled the need for sin offerings and blood sacrifice, the perfect and wide reaching transfer of sin). He said “Me and the Father are one.” And “If you love me obey my Commands.” He literally says if we love him obey Torah! The early church kept Torah as Holy and Sacred and you weren’t allowed to learn the way until you started learning and obeying commandments from Torah. It’s ok you have a copy of Torah, it’s the first 5 books in your Bible. It’s a mild lifestyle change and it’s good for your experience on Earth as well as obedient to God. Ask him if Jesus says all this why no Torah? Why ignore that and Revelations 12:17 where those who make it are those who Keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ? We have to wake up the Church. The Bridegroom approaches and you have no oil for your lamp.
@frogsnack7072

@@308dad8 If you read the book of Acts you'll see that the apostles went to the synagogue on Saturday to reason with people for Christ (basically, 'working'), so they gathered together the next day of the week, all without breaking any law. Jesus himself was crucified for reasons like 'he worked on the Sabbath by healing people', and yet he himself quoted Isaiah 58:6-7 (“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter- when you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?) which states that the Sabbath is a day to set captives free and do good. I don't believe that the 'oil in the lamp' is the keeping of the law, as the Holy Spirit and being filled with him is compared with oil biblically. I'm curious where you find the idea that obedience to the law is the 'oil' in the parable you're quoting from?
@ianwilliams2373

@@308dad8 We need to understand when Jesus said "He came to FULFIL the law", He doesn't mean to put a millstone around our neck.. He meant He came to REPLACE the rules and regulations and multiple stipulations laid down by the scribes, Sadducees and Pharisees. His sacrifice (as a lamb would've been under the old law) has set us free from the need to follow all the expectations of the old law. Our being obedient is to follow the 10 commandments which were given by God because of His deep LOVE for us.. not as "don't do this or that" because I want to bind you under a burden. NO each commandment is an indication of how much He LOVES us. Didn't Jesus himself say in Matthew, Mark and Luke.. “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind/strength.’ [quoting from Deuteronomy 6:5] This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘LOVE your neighbour as yourself.’ ALL the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” And then likewise in John He said.. “A NEW command I give you: LOVE one another. As I have loved you, so you must LOVE one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you LOVE one another.” In other words LOVE is the key not keeping every little thing recorded in the old law.. this will fall into place if we LOVE as Jesus taught us to.

Like it or not, organised religion in the US today IS big business and it's run as a business first and foremost, to bring in people and their money, or it will cease to exist. If this alienates some followers, so be it, the plan ultimately is to attract a new generation of followers, and you've got to give 'em what they want..

You all are studying, listening to, and reading THE VERY WORDS OF THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY! His Word is COMPLETE for everything in our lives. The sadness felt by many of us is that churches have forgotten their first true love, and have gone "whoring" after idols of all kinds to somehow improve that which The LORD GOD ALMIGHTY already provided us. So just as in Jesus's day, and He called them out, most pastors today are "blind guides." They're afraid to preach The Word because they don't live The Word, because they aren't in The Word. They've allowed (or have consciencely grown) their church ministry into a codependent mess. The counseling demands in that kind of ministry COMPLETELY blocks out THE NEED FOR INDIVIDUAL AND COLLECTIVE REPENTANCE, THE PROCLAIMATION OF NOT JUST "A GOSPEL MESSAGE" THAT MAKES PEOPLE FEEL GOOD, BUT THE PROCLAIMATION OF THE GOOD NEWS, THAT LIFE-CHANGING MESSAGE REPEATED ON ALMOST EVERY PAGE OF THE NEW TESTAMENT ... namely that salvation is living IN The LORD'S RIGHTEOUSNESS THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST!! There is no other way. But people have grown tired of hearing this CENTRAL TENENT of Christian faith. Please read Isaiah chapter 1 to understand EXACTLY what The LORD God Almighty thinks of worship WHEN PEOPLE TURN THEIR HEARTS AND MINDS AWAY FROM HIM and go "whoring" after other gods. His condemnation of His people the nation of Israel lasted about 2,500 years up and until 1948 when He restored them into His Land. I'm not negative, just very truthful when I say this ... the pastor's wife in this video is emblematic of the "problem" in churches. She is sooo blind, that all of her solutions to the problems she sees is in "the I and in the we." Didn't hear one word that hinted of repentance from sin, forgiveness of sin, restoration to a new life in Christ. THOSE ARE SCRIPTURAL THEMES THAT ARE NO LONGER PREACHED OR STUDIED IN MOST CHURCHES. You may the ask, pastor what does all this mean? It means most people proclaiming to be "of Christ" are not. It means most churches are not even close to proclaiming the Gospel. It means most EVERYONE in church communities across the world are blinded, and are being blinded by Satan's dark cultural veil that intices people to "whore" after other "things," other "cultural idols," hence "other gods" to satisfy the FALSE NARRATIVE that in our culture salvation is NOT through faith in Jesus Christ, but in ALL the things of this world. You must understand that Satan is still using the Genesis 3 hoax on this world, AND his basic temptations are the same ones he used to tempt Jesus! But if God's very words aren't being taught and preached, well The LORD will allow churches to decline into "I and we" clubs. "But we did miracles in Your Name. And, Jesus said to them, 'Depart from Me ... into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.'" So, someone has to say it. I just did for the umpteenth time. Peoples ears are DULL of hearing, and so this comment will quite literally fall on DEAF ears. I pray that you and others forsake your "contemporary" worship ways, and figure out what Jesus meant when He spoke this, "Do you understand what I have done to you? You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you. Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them. I am not speaking of all of you; I know whom I have chosen. But the Scripture will be fulfilled, He who ate my bread has lifted his heel against me.’ I am telling you this now, before it takes place, that when it does take place you may believe that I am he. Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me" John 13:12-20. I'm easy enough to find on the internet if you wish to discuss these things and more. Pastor Jerry Komorech

Yes, and amen. I’ve been a believer since autumn 1971. I’m now almost 74 years old. About 12 years ago I left the building because it did not look like what the Bible sounded like the body of Christ should look like. I did not leave my faith. My faith is strong and intact. I left churchianity. I go to a home group that I’ve been in almost 8 years and I have a small ladies Bible study that I actually teach. It feels more real to me. We don’t have a building. When I was little and went to church, we said here’s the church tears the steeple open the door and hears the people and it was wrong. The people are the church. There is so much paganism that got into churchianity. It’s time to step back and reassess what your walk looks like.

AMEN!! I started following Christ in the 70's (I think 73). I'm 77 now. It was a charismatic church and it was good for a while. At that time, they (at least that particular church) taught us to sink our minds and spirits into the Word. I can't say that for the modern day churches though. Those are mostly feelings now. :( I also no longer attend a church now mostly b/c of what you call "churchianity." They talk about Jesus' miracles and parables and just about everything except how to live a holy life in Christ. If you're different or socially awkward, then you will be avoided like a plague. That is not what Christ taught! I have a small Bible study group where we read about 4-5 chapters every day. We still need to learn how to forgive each other and overlook our different faults. It's not easy! I listen to John MacArthur's sermons a lot. He usually hits the nail on the head.

I am a 65 year old music minister. It is extremely frustrating when focus is more in the structure than the content of a service specifically meant to help people come to terms with their sin and understand their need for true repentance and salvation. I was asked my opinion and was again told my ideas were irrelevant because I wanted to include scripture! They tossed out scripture... does that tell you something? I have been put in a position of having to defend scripture and reverence and a personal relationship with Jesus to my own brothers and sisters INSIDE the church. I am so exhausted, and frustrated that I have had to step back because I was just getting very angry. I can't believe what I'm experiencing. It's a multi- million dollar facility with high tech everything but scripture is irrelevant..................... setting an environment for focus on repentance is irrelevant....... very few of the church musicians want to participate but the fellowship hall was packed with folks for the big football game, with food and alcohol oh and high tech. My spirit is deeply grieved. After church sometimes, a few people will stay to pray and of those they are often in despair. When I'm done with the music, my family stays to close up. I will go to those folks praying and talk and pray with them. We will stay longer to let them sit before the Lord and pray, cry, whatever they need. But I'm the weirdo who wants scripture in the service their planning.......... I'm one of the only musicians who wants to be there to play for this. I had to remove myself temporarily to spend time with the Lord. If this is the state of the church with this war going on, may God truly help us. I hope you can read between my lines...

I do encourage you to hold into you conviction. WE Must hold into scripture, regardless of the consequences. I have watched our small church dwindle. Partially because we do teach straight from the word. I recall a statement from one that the family left because, the individual said they didn't want to fill bad wanted to fill good . I'm sorry when we look eagerly at the word, and truthful look at our selves as in a mirror. We can not help but see our short commings. Let the spirit be our guide. We have been in proverbs for a few years. The out come for those that have stayed have grown so much. Please keep the word taught ,anything less is NOT what need to hear. Trust in the Lord teach others about him. May God bless you.

You are so right! We should NOT try to attract people to the church with music, lights, feel good sermons, etc. Music is important for worship but we need to stick with the heart of the reason we go to church. That is to worship, praise and give glory and thanks to God. Speak only truth and not what tickle people's ears.

This came just in time for me! Years ago I left a church that was actually a cult. God led me away and I’m so grateful to him for that. I could not however find the church that fit his description of proper worship and I didn’t want to not go and let my kids sit at home each Sunday. I felt we should be worshiping as a community. I struggled with “the buildings” to attend and God also confirmed to me “you are my church” so while community worship is very important and we should gather.:.each day the church goes out into the world with the mindset of being gods vessel. Loving and serving those around us. The church that I did join ended up paying off a large sum of debt and it was great. But now they ask for millions more in order to build more to the structure. I prayed over tithing for this stuff and it just doesn’t seem right. We should be “going out among the suffering” that is where our money should be going. Too much suffering is happening and the money should not be going to a physical building but actual people. Homeless, widows, sick people with insurmountable hospital bills. Single women trying to support their children. In these days this is a huge deal. No more plush buildings. We should be meeting in a small chapel to sing one or two hymns…thank you for pointing out the long rock bands that drive me, my children, and my husband crazy. After a hymn or two a sermon and then a battle plan for families to tackle. As a body in the church. And then we go forth and execute.

Because the name Christian has been used and abused to the point that demonic spirits have crept in. And when I come across people who think they know the word of God and misunderstood it's meaning, tells me they have not prayed about what they're saying. They're only following others who only want subscribers $$$. We can not be laze in prayer and Bible reading and most importantly a close relationship with Jesus Christ. I'm 54 and you are the first person I've heard say it since I heard it when I was 20. Thank You! I think every Christian needs to hear it and KNOW it! It made my relationship with the Lord better because I didn't focus on the Church to fill me up every Sunday. I focused on my relationship with Him, not the Church. I believe I'm a better disciple. If all the Church buildings, rock concerts, Instagram props, church coffee corners, fancy Church trips went away, would we as a community know what to do? I wonder. Thank you again for these words! It's been a while since I've seen a protestant church, online anyways, that actually looked like a church. They all have these laser light, sort of digital displays that are just garish looking. I haven't seen so much as a cross in far too long. I can at least laud the Catholics that their churches are beautiful and have the gospel on full display, w/ art, statues, stain glass, etc. While not all churches can afford these edifying trappings, esp. if they are starting out in a gym or something, they can at least have a cross. It's our focal point, our very reason for being there, always.

This was to make the Jewish nation jealous. Now, through Christ Jesus, all an inherit the Kingdom and promises of God. Any who reject Jesus shall perish. God’s Word says that whoever curses Israel will be cursed and whoever blesses Israel shall be blessed. God wishes for none to perish. The seven year Tribulation will be to Redeem Israel. Repentance- confession to God and asking for forgiveness quickly when you fall short and asking God to fill you with the Holy Spirit is the key to deliverance breakthrough, and transformation, trust in what Jesus did for you is the key as you trust in His shed blood that washes you white as snow, and then asking Holy Spirit to fill you and work in you and through you is the ultimate key to transformation, well they all are the ultimate keys. Living a lifestyle everyday like this will totally transform your life. And of course reading the word to fill you with the spirit and oil, because the word is spirit, this is how to keep your lamp burning. Dear One is Christ, you can ride high above the flesh, the enemy, the influence of this world, but not by you trying but only by looking to Jesus He is The Author and Finisher of your faith,He is The Way, The Truth and The Life. When He told us deny ourselves, He wasn't just talking about " our selfish and often sinful desire He was point-blank telling us to Trust God. To not lean on our own understanding. And again He tells us not by might or by power (this is speaking of our so-called strength and ability) but to recognize our true life is totally in Him, His Spirit. So Dearest One in Him I pray your sweetest understanding is opened and you fall in to His waiting arms, where His Faith, His Righteousness and His Love will make you more than you ever desired to be for His Glory. You see we The Church have been invited to to a grandest supper but like any good guest we bring a gift for the Host. That is the Fruit of The Spirit, which we would not have unless we had received it from Him and not of ourselves. Search out the scripture and see if I spoke His Truth and receive only that nothing more and nothing less. God who has put the desire in you to do His Will , will preform His Work The Finished Work in The Cross of Jesus, The absolute Holiness, Perfection of God's Love for you . His heart is totally for you to be conformed to be like Him, and you will continually understand in your heart its not I that liveth but Christ that liveth in me. God bless you sweetly and tenderly.

It takes time, but if you really want to follow Jesus, then nothing can stop your reformation. Jesus is King and his will - . He knows if you are sincere and will sort out your belief and trust issues. You can't force yourself to believe Him, and it's not up to you. God is the one that gives us faith, not us. We are dependant on Him for everything By letting go of your own control you give God the clear sign that He can take control. This is a process. You are being honest with yourself and with God, and therefore Jesus will prove himself to you and will never forsake you. Never! Just watch, and read your bible daily. It is the number one way God communicates with us. .If you don't read the bible, you can be tossed about by anything anybody who looks good to you says. A sure way to be deceived. Read your bible and trust God. He'll NEVER forsake you.

Beautiful message. This is exactly why I can’t find a good church! Give me a church that speaks truth and its members are on fire for the Lord! It’s all so superficial with the buildings, social media, and vanity. We are so blessed in America to have public places we can gather to worship and not have to risk our lives to gather in secret. We need to wake up.

Your message is from your heart and is one commonly heard from earnest church leaders. I spent many years feeling guilty because this type of message made me feel lacking somehow. But was i really falling short. I was up at 5:30 getting me ready for the day, kids up by 6:15 and all the morning process happening. Daycare dropoff, to work before 8! Being productive for 8 to 10 hours. Finally home by 5 to 6. Dinner, playtime and reading time with the kids, bathtime and goodnight. Of course i left out all the tangents and curves of daily family life. Now older and retired I do find more God time in my day. Volunteering many hours each week to help people in need in my town. I do agree with your plea but try to understand many people's plate is full they have no more give to give right now. Let them be faithful and feel good about the role God has entrusted them for this time.

I agree, I understand. Your words Remind me of my grown kids and their dear spouses. Good, amazing people doing good all day long. But this world doesn't need pretty buildings, it needs walking "little Christs". If we didn't have such buildings we would have more time & $$ for real "ministry".

You described to a T the mindset of babes in Christ. It truly takes time and dedication in the word WITHOUT mans influence to realize the truth, HIS truths! Thank you so much for speaking the truth in love ❤. Everything you have said is true and the church needs to hear this. For those who don’t have ears to hear it, they won’t be able to stomach it either, but that’s not your concern … we are the Temple of God, both individually & collectively we are called to walk in His ways … Jesus spoke plainly & simply to all he met, in the streets, at the market place, in the fields … he didn’t need a building to speak the truth to a dying world. God Bless you & thank you 🙏

I had an onion skin revelation of holiness. We can replace the word, intimate for holy. Jesus was face to face intimate w whomever was in front of him. We're called to be intimate as He is intimate. Be ye holy as I am holy; no veil, unveiled, eye to eye intimacy w vertical God first, the horizontal man and creation next.

This is true! By God’s grace I can feel His presence in a “church” and I want to be there. Here’s my testimony about this. I was searching for a new church home. I had always been interested in this particular church so I thought 💭 I’d go. The church building had recently had a severe fire due to a lightning ⚡️ strike. The people were meeting in the fellowship hall during the renovation. Now this was during Holy Week. I was so moved by the beautiful service that I knew this was my new church home. It was not the building (a charred mess). It was the people. I have really grown in my faith since I joined. I’m more equipped to face life’s challenges as a result.

Sister you are so right on. The church seem to think they have to bring part of the world in by mimicking what the world does with music. Worship comes through the Spirit of God not by the best of the music or the shacking you body. When it come from the Holy Spirit it does a work.

My life changed several years ago, when my husband passed away. I was searching for a closeness with God, so I began going to a fairly large church. I loved this church so much, because they focused on Jesus and our relationship with him. They had a music team that was wonderful, but not the main part of the service. The pastor fed us scripture and teaching in his sermons. We took communion at EVERY service. I loved that so much. Then, I had to move several states away to be close to my daughter. I’ve tried to find a similar church. I just miss my old church so much.

That is sadly getting rarer for protestant churches these days. Last I went, there were good sermons, and the worship was always wonderful. Where the band was just there to lead the people in worship, not put on a show. Having Holy Communion at every service, that is all too rare, even at more old school churches I used to go to. This has been a big weakness of protestant churches for far too long. We need to get convicted of this, and parishioners need to speak up. The Catholics and Orthodox really emphasize it, and they are right to do that.

With so many churches (well the world actually) going online with their services, also while having in person services, does your old church have this option? Great exhortation. We are the church. My wife and I live by the prayer. "Lord help us lead those we meet, one step closer to Jesus every day". As a consultant, I travel lots. We often travel together. Last week our church was in the breakfast nook of our hotel with the staff. Beside the car of a distraught familly whose name we dont even know. Around the board room table. In the restuarant. We are Christs church. Sometimes we are blessed to find a building with the Church meeting. Whoever this is, thankyou and God bless.

This is exactly what the pastor of our small local church as been preaching!!! We left our local“mega” church in early January 2021. The primary reason was that they had cancelled their *outdoor* Christmas Eve service at the park because of the C illness. It really had questioning everything they stood for and promoted. We left and after talking with a fellow coworker and follower of Christ, we found another church and now love his sermons and our “mini” congregation. You are right! We are the church ⛪️ Thankfully, we found a group of likeminded people that genuinely care about living and being the church.

Amen Sister! I left the church system for these reasons and praying about a home church. I am part of a ministry in another state online and the Pastor actually listens to the Holy Spirit. I couldn't take 3 songs a sermon and a bagel anymore and I grew up in it. I was saved in vacation bible school, my father was a decon. Church was my life but I never got out of the 4 walls to make a difference. I have fellowship with plenty of believers who have been part of my life for decades and have met some local friends that are also part of the same church. My focus is on those around me since there is no building and simply minister to anyone in my path or who calls for help. To be salt we need to get out of the salt shaker!
