Ah Warren I wish I had found your channel earlier than I did, would have saved me some much more time. Brilliant content and easy to understand.

Great demonstration. My teaching pro kept going on about release but thirty years later i couldn't remember what it was all about. Thank you. Two great videos on post and pivot and release

Your gentle delivery is a very calming watch Warren. So unlike the frenetic, stressful ‘energy’ of a lot of KZbin teachers. And of course your teaching is excellent too. Watch Iona Stephens vids for the same reason

Glad you enjoy it Russel thank you, I saw a brief story about Iona, really sad, had a very bad injury that cost her her playing career. Sending my best Warren

@@warrenbennettgolfacademy may be a blessing as seems to have found her calling. Think she’s too nice a person to be great player, maybe not selfish enough!

Great video Warren that showed that the hand has to release fully through 180* and not stopping after about 110*. Thanks, it is a great help.

@warren pl do a video on unfolding point of driver vs iron in downswing, and how to square the face comparatively in iron vis a vis driver in single video. Asking too much 🫡
@petethomas71645 ай бұрын
Light grip pressure, allow the weight of club head to help you feel the rotation. Let it happen...feel the move and gradually increase speed and length of swing, but with a light grip pressure....say 3 out of 10. You've got to let go to hold on....and lose control to gain it!!

Draw is my stock shot, fade is what i struggle with, either overdo it and turns into a big slice, or i pull it straight left
@warrenbennettgolfacademy5 ай бұрын
Hi Richy, the pull will be half way to solving it, you just need a clubface that is slightly open to that path. Tomorrow I have a video regarding shaping shots so that may be of some benefit l. Warren

Great video Warren, so as I’ve always fought a hook, then I need to have more leg action. I’ve been working more on feeling the butt of my hand swinging down longer to slow the release.

Warren, I have watched many of your videos with great interest, and have benefitted from your teaching. Now I wonder whether you could answer a question and that is, what release method would you consider best for someone in their seventies. There seems to be a fashion for the "body release", and that I have attempted, but without a great success. Thank you for all you have been presenting to us.

Hi there, many thanks for your message. I would definitely encourage a more of an arm swing to create more natural speed with the club. Have a look at these videos and hope they will help. Hi warren really enjoying your videos,does the release apply through the bag ? Thanks
@warrenbennettgolfacademy5 ай бұрын
Hi Arica, many thanks. I would say yes anything with a full swing, but in saying that you can get away with less the more we head towards the shorter clubs as speeds are less and shorter, that’s why Driver is always more difficult apart from less loft, it is generally going the quickest so less time etc, but generally same swing for all full shots. I hope this helps Warren

Great video Warren, can you please tell me if this release is used in the pivot turn in your previous video 28/31 ?
@warrenbennettgolfacademy5 ай бұрын
It can be incorporated in the pivot yes, it all depends if the golfer needs to have more arm/hand release rather than body, but yes you can layer this arm/hand release on that move absolutely. Hope that helps. Warren

Hi Warren, can you please let me know which trackman software you are using on the touch pad and which sensors you are using?

Do you feel like the wrists are are crossing over thru the swing ? Thanks ! Like your methodology!
@warrenbennettgolfacademy4 ай бұрын
I would definitely say so, yes John especially if the golfer is not used to releasing I would say it would be beneficial to really feel an early release coming into impact. Very few people I have seen who have been slicers of the ball all of a sudden over release it, So I wouldn’t fear that at all. I hope that helps and wishing you well. Warren

Great stuff , proper ‘old school ‘ release, what I was brought up with, so familiar with this. The big problem for us weekend warrior KZbin addicted golfers is contradiction… polar opposite contradiction Craig Hanson flip release: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nIeWn3Zsm5Jqgsksi=yVeui7qsKrM4KkqE Steve Pratt sling release: kzbin.info/www/bejne/anK5k6qEfp2Xhq8si=d5FCCL_SES0UJH8P It really does make trusting KZbin advice a minefield. Please, I’m happy with your advice… it’s what I was taught donkey’s years ago and your pedigree as a player and coach is why I’m watching and subscribing to your channel, but there is So Much contradiction out there .

Hi Mike, couldn’t agree more, I suppose any coaching in any subject is a flip of a coin sometimes. I just think in golf coaching it doesn’t need to be reinvented with fancy jargon. Appreciate you taking the time to explain and message, and appreciate the support greatly. Regards Warren
