It's funny how things end up. We plan nothing out except what parts we "hope" to put on it and see how things go! I like the multiple parts too cause it just gives us more of an excuse to hang out again! Thanks for watching and for the comment! Appreciate you!

A tip that might help preserve a leather seat is warm bees wax. I treated the leather uppers on a pair of LL Bean Duck boots and they've been water proof for 35 years and counting. You would need to treat both sides and all edges with the warm bees wax by simply rubbing it into the leather let it dry and you're done.
@cruisinginthe8082 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that tip! We will keep that in mind if we ever get a leather seat. But anyone else that sees this comment now knows about this awesome tip too so thanks for sharing that! Appreciate you watching!

I use a center point punch to open the cable housing or a ice pick. Also small rasp to file sharp edges.
@cruisinginthe8082 жыл бұрын
I like that idea. I can totally see an ice pick being used here. And it's a good idea to shave down those sharp edges too. Thanks for watching and for the tip!

Ope!✨ Thank you both of you for your sharing your fun experience with us! I’m thinking Bernie could cover those brake mounts with some cool eraser caps (Radical Rick?) OR… run dual brakes. The handle bar would look symmetrical with two brake levers and he’d have the option of braking with either hand which comes in clutch for us content creators👊😃☀️🌴🔪🔨 #WheelTok

Great idea!! You know, I feel the safest when filming on the Monster Quad because I can hold a camera with either hand and still have access to a brake! Thanks for the tip!!!

In the rear section where the old brakes go, you could put some anodized bolts to seal it and give it character.

Happy Friday guys! Creaking from the BB area could be numerous things. As the master kid mentioned below, lots and lots of grease! But yes, the bearings can get rusty from lots of water getting in there. They are sealed, but water will get in there eventually. CHECK YOUR CRANK BOLTS FREQUENTLY!! I lost a $15 Profile crank bolt ($30 for the set) recently on a ride. I don't like using thread locker, but I will probably use some because those Profile bolts are so expensive. Regarding your comment about measuring spindle, that's only if there is extra space and you need to add spacers to either side (I had a 6" spindle on my last build, wider than normal). Your build seemed to fit perfect, so no measurements needed! Regarding the brake boss/mounts, yes the ones that are one-piece welded on are cheaper to manufacture. The ones that will un-thread usually have two small flat areas towards the base so you can get a wrench on there :D :D :D Loving this bike!
@cruisinginthe8082 жыл бұрын
As always, great advice! Yeah, lots of grease definitely helps! And I know what you mean about using some sort of thread locker. I'm hesitant too as I want to be able to get the bolt off easily but I don't want to lose that sucker on a ride! Always a good idea to check the tightness of that bolt before each ride. Thanks for watching and for more great advice! Appreciate you man!
