At 10:08, I do not clearly understand why you would create a reference of human, and then an object of Alien. What is the purpose of this?

Can you please help me understand what it means "var mayank : Human = Alien()" in 10:30 ? Does it mean that "mayank" is using the method defined in Human class and not the overriden method in Alien class? Thank you

You should've executed the last example (`var mayank : Human = Alien()`) to see the output. Will it print "Real Thinking" or "Virtual Thinking"?

It'll still print out "Virtual Thinking" because it's still an Alien Object with the overridden think function. Only difference now is that the ": Human" specifies that the actual object is of Type Human. So for example if you created a mutableListOf, you can put the mayank object in there because it's type is Human.
