Hey Mote Plox ! I would absolutely LOVE a HC Ironman Mote Plox series ! Your videos are incredible and I will regularly binge them ! Super super happy to see another upload as well ! As far as another video idea, I think one where you countdown your top 10 favorite updates to OSRS or just RS in general would be awesome ! I could definitely see you reminiscing during it which I love because it also reminds me of the same feeling/memories I had as a kid as well ! Note: I know you did one where you counted down the Top 10 best updates however I remember you saying that it was not just your input but a collaborative effort from your CC/FC at the time. A video where it’s just your personal favorites would be awesome ! Much love from your neighbor in Texas ! !

Ayy, first off, thank you for that "Super Thanks" - I'm still unsure how that all works, because you're the FIRST person EVER to send me a "Super Thanks" haha. So, I sincerely appreciate that man. You didn't have to do that, that's awesome, and very appreciated! Also, I like the idea of this video. I've officially been playing RuneScape now for 20 years. It'd be fun reminiscing back on exciting updates and making a video about my personal preferences of them. Tell them boys in Texas down south a big howdy for me. In regards to the spot where killed monsters spawn in RSC, there is actually something kinda similar to that in RS3 and it's also VERY hidden. If you go to the rs3 wiki to the page 'candlelight' (under miscellaneous, not trivia) you'll find some information about a cage in that area where summoning familiars spawn. A theory was that when familairs enter the 'spirit plane' (as the chatbox says) when entering one of the pools in Oo'glog while having a familiar following you the familiar would actually go to that cage. Possibly also in other areas where familiars disappear they would go there. I remember watching a video way back of a player noclipping to Candlelight and finding that one square cage where familiars appeared and disappeared, that was very random to see. Don't know if that video is still online though... I was never able to find it again. Fortunately the discovery did end up on the wiki.

27:15 - tons of games use this mechanic, where if a player of NPC dies, they are teleported somewhere out of bounds and after they should be respawned. they are teleported back. One of the biggest "misuse" of such mechanic would be in Arma2:DayZ mod. There you could just walk towards the spot since it wasn't that far away from the playable area of the map and in that game, you could just walk past the playable area without any need for glitching yourself out or anything of that sort. Since most of the DayZ mod servers were creating sort of small communities that played purely on one server since the progress/gear didn't transfer to another one people started to know each other. On my server I played with my friend who was the most evil player on the whole server, but I was the exact opposite, I was what in the game was called "Hero" which meant i was helping everyone out, gifting rare weapons, helping them along their journey just as a bodyguard or simply a guide for the new players. One day I logged in and the admin wrote me a message, my friend was banned so I should talk to him about what he's done, once he'll promise he won't do it again, he'll unban him. And when I talked to my friend he told me, he managed to find that place where dead people would be placed before their respawn and he kept killing them there over and over essentially making them stuck in the respawn loading screen as long as he kept killing them. Good times :^)

The progression through the game is so insanely satisfying and you learn so much when you cant just walk to the ge for every little thing you need. My main was fun in theory but i never had that much fun actually playing. 27:08 writing code was still in it's infant phase for the majority of the world back then, and you couldn't just ask google how to perform a specific function. Rather than having the npc despawn/respawn (and being that they already knew what lines to use to teleport people and objects), they used this to have the npc "die" by teleporting it to the middle of nowhere, and "reincarnate" after a pre-defined period of time.

Hey, just back from a break almost as long as you’re currently on. I played my Ironman to get back into it but have since picked up my main again. It’s a good time to come back. Updates are great and the game has stayed “old school”. Don’t pickup any major grinds just do absolutely whatever it is you find fun or relaxing and you’ll get back into it. I made my account in 2004 and i am grateful in 2024 i am still able to play this version of RS.

Ironman got me interested again but what really got me was playing my main and doing collection logs/kind of playing the same way i played ironman. Self sufficient and no using items i havent unlocked.

So, all I can really say without advertising, (Because KZbinrs have gotten in trouble with Jagex in the past for this) is that there are some private servers out there that are very dedicated to recreating the forgotten eras of RuneScape. The 2004-based one is a single-player-only version of the 2004 beta that I was fortunate enough to receive. Thanks for the kind words my friend, and thanks for watching. :)

I know there's a lot of "snowflake ironman" series floating around youtube, but that's honestly the most interesting RS content on youtube. Don't just make a normal Ironman series, make something like a One Chunk, or Tileman. Those modes are unique and interesting to watch, and One Chunk is a great way to keep having a goal to work towards beyond the intrinsic goals of OSRS.

I wanna say something that might be really important as far as an ironman series goes, as far as a single viewers perspective is concerned at least. I would 100% be down to see you do ironman and make it into a series, but something super important is to have fun with it. I doubt it'd be a hot take to say you're one of the few RS content creators that are enjoyed and watched for casual reasons. Every creator has their "place" in RS, be it say B0aty or Woox being big for PvM grinds and achievements, Settled who basically does some crazy challenges, people like Torvesta who do PvP stuff usually, etc. I promise I mean this in a good way, but if you do any series and it feels like you're forcing yourself I think it'd be less enjoyable to watch. I'm 100% a fan of the idea of you doing an ironman series, I think it'd be good for streaming if you wanted to do that as well. A simple example is if you lost the HC status and decided to start over from scratch just because of the status it feels like it'd be pretty painful to watch.
@Mote_Plox9 ай бұрын
Really appreciate this constructive criticism Mase! That's what I'm looking for. :) I think what I personally would like to do, since the channel is based on nostalgia, is play the traditional way we all played as kids - no guides, free-to-play AT FIRST, and then switch to membership once I've done everything in free-to-play. I know a lot has been added in the past 5 years of me not playing to both F2P and P2P, so it'd be real cool to do this account right, and pay attention to the lore in the same sense. Doing this would allow me to possibly make another timeline video in the future as well. :) Thanks again for the advice!
@mase5989 ай бұрын
@@Mote_Plox Hey again! Cool of you to reply! I honestly really like the idea you said, to basically just tackle it with an open mind rather than with efficiency as the goal. Only thing I think I can recommend is to maybe do an "announcement video" if you plan to stream it to give the heads up since you don't normally stream, and at the same time make it clear what your goal is. I think as long as you can temper expectations and make it clear that you're playing to have fun and explore the game as an ironman for the first time while catching up on missed content, that'd hopefully help prevent people that expect max efficiency. Bonus as well is that like I said a lot of RS creators have their "niche" and I feel like "just having fun" is one that's missing. I can't think of anybody who's know for RS content that I can't really "tie" to a specific type of content. This I feel would be unique and it fits what I feel you're known for which is just being able to see and learn interesting stuff, the difference being we'd be seeing you learn a bit as you go, in some cases learning completely new stuff to yourself even!

bro playing HC and especially HC is the best way to fully live OSRS. im a pker thats how i make my living in OSRS meaning buying my bonds and gearing suplying my accounts. but i have been playing OSRS since 2004 so u know i love to start a new account, challenge myself to see how much i really know about this game i love and see how far i can go, test my skills as a gamer and just overall enjoy many different corners of the game you dont get to apreciate with a regular account, much less if u only pk. also to me being a HC is the only true type of ironman that should exist, like if i want to show u my ironman account and brag about my total lvl or my items, u bet ill do it on a HC cause thats the real challenge! u should even stream the HC runs u attempt on twitch and alsomake an individual, edited and well thought out video like you allays do about the iron progress. i dont rly like the new tendency of streamers uploading to YT a compilation of the stream clips and try to acr like they worked for the video other than the stream... these types of videos you make are also to me the real videos u can say yeah, this person sat there and tried to make something especial. not just a compilation of ur past experiences.. anyways GL if u decide to try it, i hope u do and just remember EVERY1 dies lol. just ghet a new bond and hop back on the horse
