I'm sorry that it has been a while since my last video. I was busy expanding the capacity of my new business and fixing an existing one, and planning the next one. But thank you for asking for this video. I learnt to use adobe premier because of this video. Hopefully my next video will have slightly better quality.

Thank you very much for this video. I like your clear explanations, especially the table how to change pe- depending on the first character of the word. Can you please make a similar video about prefix "ke-", e.g. kesalahan?

Where does 'm' come from in pe+batik? Why do they have 'pecinta' and 'pencinta'?
@learnbahasaindonesia3361
@learnbahasaindonesia3361 3 жыл бұрын
It is a variation in pronunciation, simply for ease of pronunciation. Saying 'pembatik' is easier (more smoothly) than saying 'pebatik'. Pecinta and pencinta means the same. Usually, when the the first syllable of the word ends with 'n' sound such as cin-ta, jan-tan, jan-ji, some people find it easier to not use the 'n' in between such as pecinta, penjantan, pejanji. But because Indonesian language is built by addition and some ethnic group finds it easier to use 'n' in between, then it is correct too. the 'n' in between does NOT have any meaning. It simply helps to make pronunciation smoother.

Hi madam, I saw one of your video and you said that if a word ends by letter s and c, so we have to use prefix meny-. Like: meny + cuci = menyuci. But the word menyuci doesn't exist in Indonesia vocabulary. What do you think?
@xanderesy973
@xanderesy973 2 жыл бұрын
"Menyuci" does exist in Indonesian language, but it came from "suci" instead of "cuci" which mean pure or clean.

Hi. How are you? Is it possible to communicate effectively with Indonesians only using the formal language learned in most books? Would it sound weird? Is it too hard to understand the informal language spoken on the street?
@learnbahasaindonesia3361
@learnbahasaindonesia3361 2 жыл бұрын
Hi. Yes, it is possible to communicate using formal language learnt from books. The formal language is what I use when I speak with other Indonesians from different etnicities or areas. Every ethnic groups/locals have their own versions of daily expressions. I know only that of Jakartan, and my version of Jakartan expressions which I use among my family/friends is different from that of my neighbours. My neighbors will talk to me using their version of Jakartan Indonesian and I will respond to them using my version of Jakartan Indonesian. If you are in Jakarta, you will pick up the daily expressions easily, but I don't think I know which expressions to teach you because our environments/streets may be different.

Hi Diva. I'm sorry that I couldn't respond to your inquiry in timely manner. However, I will still answer your question and I hope it is useful for you: "allow+ed" is a passive verb and it is di+izin+kan in Indonesian language. I hope you did well in your test.
