29 WEEK PREGNANCY UPDATE | HOME BIRTH? GETTING HUGE!

Here is my 29 week update! I can't believe how quickly this pregnancy is going... This week I had a midwife appointment and have a tough decision of to have a home birth or not - I only have 6 weeks left to decide.

ABOUT
Hi, my name is Emily. I am a wife and mum of two handsome boys and pregnant to our third baby. I started this vlog after years of enjoying other beauty, product and mummy blogs.
I video my everyday life every week and post on a Monday and also make other videos about things I like and products I have purchased and my own tips and opinions on parenting.
This vlog is a nice way to record events that happen in our lives (a bit like a diary) for my sons. It is such a cliché but time really does go so quickly when you have children and I just wish there was a pause button to soak up every little moment with them. I
I hope that this vlog can help capture our moments and that one day our boys can look back at some of them and know how much they are loved.

My midwife mentioned to me how I'd be the perfect person for a home birth but something about it scares me. I can't put my finger on it. The more I think about it the more I like the idea. Luckily I've got a while to think about it. Bump is looking lovely as are you X

Your more relaxed when you give birth at home. It goes fast cause your relaxed. It's really messy so a pool is a must. I ruined my mattress by giving birth on it. You know what I found a little sad about a home birth was not getting a hospital tag on the baby because they are the things you keep as a memory. I gave birth, had some toast and then cuddled up in bed with my baby and we slept for hours. No noise from the wards or being woken up by nurses checking on you. It was so nice I would recommend a home birth.

Hi:) love your videos! Just found your channel recently and have gone through tons of them so far. Thank you!!! I wanted to ask how you keep your energy levels up. I'm almost 29 weeks pregnant thank GD with my 5th (!!) and I don't know how you go through your day and manage to entertain your kids, clean , cook, do outings and still be in one piece at the end of the day. I know you're not pregnant at the moment but thought maybe you could share something on this topic.... mommy related, not only thrida trimester related ;) thanks again for your wonderful videos and for being so honest and real.

I love your videos! I am about 6 weeks behind you - I am due October 16th with our first. It's nice to watch your videos and know what's upcoming for myself. I just got our spare room cleaned out today for the nursery. Next is paint and getting the furniture in.

I think you should go with the home birth. I've had an internship as a midwife and most women said their homebirth was fine and beautiful and they'd do it again ! :)

I had my 2nd baby at home, I loved it 😊 I was advised to have a home birth as I went in for a scan with my first and was 6cm so I didn't come home as she was born not long after! I was glad I opted for the home birth because I was 8cm when the midwife come to check on me so she was born 30 mins after she arrived! I think they are very relaxed and I got two midwives all to myself. Plus I was at home with my family instead of on my own in a hospital, so, home births get a thumbs up from me 👍🏻 x

Our home birth was a wonderful experience, I was so relaxed at home......so much so I didn't need pain relief! Good luck with whatever you decide 👍

Ahh it's flying by! Will you do the hypnotherapy where the lady comes to your house as well? I've been thinking about doing it but need to start asap if I'm going to. You're absolutely glowing my love, a home birth sounds wonderful!

I used to love those apps, seeing what the baby looked like and what they were doing!! It sounds like Norris no.3 will be a speedy arrival, always hard to make such a huge decision. Personally I loved giving birth in hospital but it sounds like you would do great at home (and saves an in car labour situation!!) when do you have to decide by? You look fab xx

I think you would be fine at home to be honest. You could always hire a dooler,they are not medically trained but know a lot about labour. Plus they are there to comfort and reassure you when you feel like you can't go on. They usually meet up with you a couple of times before then you ring them when labour starts. Just different options. Xx

If you plan for a home birth you can always change your mind all the way up to actual D Day! I planned one with my first and it didn't quite work out and am regretting not doing it with my second! Xxx

You are right - it's unpredictable, don't take that risk, just go to the hospital, just my opinion. You look wonderful!

Emily I'm so glad you're 3 weeks ahead of me, I'm planning a home birth due to our birthing centre being so far away. So it's so helpful watching you, Have you bought much for the baby yet? I haven't got a single thing!! And It's coming around so fast! 😁 Xx

Aw that's the same as me our birthing center is so far away :-( I have only started buying things this week - a news bedside cot and a new car seat as out last one has had it! I have so much boys stuff though I doubt I'll need much xx

+Emily Norris I had my youngest in triage at Queens! After 10 minutes of arriving, So like you don't want to risk being stuck in the car. I'm lucky really because where I live now really support home births. It's a huge decision though. Xxx

My Dr, wanted to induce me at 38wks and 4 days. I'm currently 32 wks now. I didnt ask her at the time of visit the reason why she would suggested that. After I left the Dr. office it got me concerned and curious. Do you know what the reason might be?

I can't believe how quick it's gone! I started following you when I found out I was pregnant, now I'm 28 weeks! Which hypnobirthing CDs are you using? :) and go for a home birth! This is my first so wanting to go to a birthing centre which is 20 mins from the main hospital, so I'm worried if something goes wrong that There are not going to be any doctors!

I think I am going to go for it as my pregnancy has been so good. A birthing center sounds like the perfect option - the nearest one to us is an hour away :-( wah. I'm sure it will go well. I met with a hypnotist and she recorded some CD's for me - so I still have them xx

Yes the car would be an ordeal I think. Only you know what you feel comfortable with,and I'm sure which way you choose will be the right one. I can't believe it's nearly here omg. Take care. Xx

Hi Emily. If your hospital is like ours in the northwest I would have a home birth,at least you will have a midwife with you all the time at home. My friend wanted a home birth,but her waters had gone two days before,so had no choice about going into hospital. We were just left on are own and she was very stressed. So with your previous labours I would opt to have a more relaxed birth in your own home. Still looking great. Xx

I'm just in front of u ... So excited now I have to have a c section this time due to my little girls birth but none of my births have gone straight forward . My little girl was born back to back in her sack of water and was 8lb so she did quite a bit of damage lol. A home birth would be amazing in your home all your comforts you should so go for it if it's what u want , xx

I bet - with my previous pregnancies it was every 2 weeks but now that its my third they seem to leave it so long between appointments! My 28 week check was the first time I'd seen them since my 20 week scan xx

Ur bump is so adorable! Can't believe ur nearly 30 weeks so exciting! I wanted a hospital birth for my second as I didn't want have to clear up the mess lol but ended up having an hour labour and my husband helped me deliver our son in the bath ha! Well if you want to go down that road I would start looking for someone ASAP,it will soon be here. When I was my friends birthing partner we did the hypno birthing together as her husband said it was Mumbo jumbo 😂😂,we thought it helped a lot. This was her third and this was the first time she didn't need stitches,as she went down the route of breathing baby out and not pushing,it was amazing. I had my legs crossed the whole time for her haha. Xx
