Toyota chief also had the understanding of the importance of hybrids in this eco transition. He was kicked out because of the push towards only electric.

The 911 is a great car - and it's built to drive in the winter, especially with all wheel drive. Just get it undercoated! And the new Prius hybrid is a great car and cheap to run. The Miata is a little small for you. Or you could just keep fixing the LS430 - a couple of thousand a year is still only $10K in five years. But it may just be a case of diminishing returns at this point. You might want to look into a 2015 - 2017 Lexus RC. It's a luxury sport coupe with great safety features and reliability. Or maybe the 2013 - 2017 Lexus GS, same as the Toyota Crown which is a great car. But, if you want the ultimate family machine, look at the Lexus GX460 SUV (known as the Land Cruiser Prado in other parts of the world), best years are reportedly 2012, 2013, 2017, 2019, 2020. A little heavy on gas (4.6 liter V8), but reliable, has 7 passenger seating if needed, tons of luxury, and it will go anywhere and in any weather. Good luck!
