I apologise, another long one, please bear with me… Have you considered making a black tinted resin paper? Then try using past made cabochons to trace around on to card to create a template for each shape & size starting with you most commonly used ones & then using it as a template to cut out your black resin paper to apply to your cabochons & putting under the resin lamp (with the mirror underneath) to see if that sets solid. That way you could create a stash of pre-made backing to keep at hand. You could trying different colours as well. Then if you find a stamp cutter that is the size & shape of the backs of cabochons you could pre-cut lots quickly as well. You could layer a few & cut into strips & then mix strips or other shapes you cut out from the stack almost like a puzzle. You could have multiple one shaped cabochons with the same colours but each would be different. For example five cabochons, five coloured heart shaped resin papers, five strips from each coloured resin paper heart. Eg Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue. One heart could have strips in that order (R-O-Y-G-B) 2nd ❤️ (O-Y-G-B-R) 3rd heart (Y-G-B-R-O) etc Or R-G-O-B-Y. You could create confetti circles with a hole punch, or other mini confetti shapes with punches, die-cutting machine, scissors, scraps the endless possibilities… 👩🎨💭👨🎨💬👩🔬💡👨🔬

Oh my gosh, you could make flowers with this stuff that would be so delicate. You could punch little shapes out and use those shapes for teeny tiny details but since it’s resin, it won’t make the bubbles like dried flowers might. I bet it would work also for repairing your fingernail if it was damaged. You could even do it in colors and then cut little shapes and put those thin little slices of shapes as decoration for doing nail art. I think that you’ve got a winner here. 👍🏻🙏🏻🥰 Oh, I had to make an edit. Here’s another idea… because this is flexible and if you added more resin, it would pretty much disappear, you could create little stands that would elevate tiny pieces within larger molds. 😊
@theolderwomansviewagematte22184 ай бұрын
If you intensified the colours before spreading and curing, then once cured cut the bits into shapes to make 'stained glass' with black between the colours and attach them to earring pieces. Or use as a window hanger.

Daniel, please read!!! I tried this idea, using a fair amount of mica powder to color the resin before turning it into paper. I cut it into very thin strips - perhaps 1 mm. I curled these around a cocktail pick to make coils. Then I poured a bit of uv resin into my mold, cured it, added the curled up strips and more resin. Cured that, flipped it over and put holographic film on it, and placed it in a bezel with a black back. I like it! I think it might be even better with strips of different colors… very festive I think! Thank you so much for resin paper!

I take a razor and make a thin spread of UV resin on glass, cure it, & then use the razor to skim it off the glass. It makes a film just like cellophane! My favorite is the one at the end with the chopped up pieces. I’d love to see you try one of the first ones with the nail powder strips, but without adding more powder to the back of the entire thing. At that point, after curing the strips to the back, do a thin layer of clear, cure it, and then either add more nail powder before backing with black, or just back with black. I think a thin layer of clear first will help the strips disappear and blend better. You won’t get the pillow effect, though, so it would be a different result overall.

So start as you did, cut the strips, go back to the mould, fill it up and place some more strips. Then do the dusting, back everything up with black and finish it up as you did.
