Try using soft uv resin for the resin paper. It should make it more flexible. Then when you get it into the shape you want, you can layer hard uv resin to stiffen it. jmo Also, I've been wanting to ask.... Since you figured out a recipe for dip resin, can you figure one out for making the resin "clay" out of uv resin??? Worth a try?

If you have access to the 3D printer that made your ring cone, you’d be better off to redesign the cone with a central hole 2 mm larger than your shaft. Use some CA glue to plug it into place. UV resin cures exothermically so can heat up PLA prints to the point of deforming. With a properly centered hole, the only wobble you’d get would be due to a bent shaft. You often have some great ideas. 3D printing and resin really go well together. They compliment each other very nicely.

This was a genuinely entertaining video, great improv problem solving. Speaking of which. If you are at all familiar with lathes (wood-turning for me) the super effective solution to your stability issue is a "tailstock support". Essentially if you could fasten a pin/needle for example sticking out at the same height as your ring fastner, then apply pressure of the tip of the pin to the very end of the green ring turner at the very center. Kablamo you would have perfect 'center' and stability! I am really confident this would help! Have a good one man, keep creating beautiful and fun things! :)
