Kassem is so much more valuable to this industry when he's not in a clickbait Doug Brignole response video. Great info

This was a great listen. Learning biomechanics and anatomy is definitely a massive benefit for hypertrophy. I have been making muscle anatomy videos on my channel for a long while now, so really appreciated this episode. Thanks for posting!

What's the reason to work same muscle at different lengths? I have read that (if I remember correctly) training at long muscle length causes more distal hypertrophy and adds sacromeres, while training at short muscle length causes muscle to grow more in diameter. And also that loading muscle in more lengthened position causes more overall hypertrophy. What about proximal, mid and distal hypertrophy. Could you give more information and nuance to this question? Why would you chose to train horizontal adduction for pecs in short position vs long? I could think only of recovery and maybe metabolic vs mechanical stress.

He claims he invented the heel wedge, lol. Those things have been around since at least the first bodybuilding videos. Lots of lifters in the Golden Era used them. They'd just make them themselves from wood or they'd stand on barbell plates.
