For special event-type films like Oppenheimer on 70mm, yes. For “Endgame” I remember there were quite a few theaters that stayed open around-the-clock all 72 hours of its opening weekend just to accommodate the absolutely insane demand. Anecdotally, I also remember one of my local IMAX theaters (also a 70mm GT location) had a 4:15am showing of “The Dark Knight Rises” the night before it came out. They also had a 3:45am showing of “Avengers: Age of Ultron” about 3 years later. Such late showings are now rare, but they still happen occasionally.
