Regarding hanging stuff on your bedroom walls; I had the same issue when I wanted to hang a mirror and a shelf. Turns out there was cement walls behind the dry wall, which you need a hammer drill for. I just paid a buddy that owned one in pizza to hammer drill a few holes. Then I was able to put plugs/screws in and hang my stuff properly! ☺️
