Other than news, cause news always wins in the end got one more planned video before christmas. Doing the "3d fighting guide for 2d fighting game players" or whatever ill wind up calling the video. Basically prep for Tekken 8, for people who play everything other than tekken. Live either later today on the 23rd or earlier on the 24th. I can confirm I have two reasons for liking Beatrix. 1. She works alongside Vasaraga and Zeta. 2. I like ponytails. Anyway, I'm glad to see 2B make another guest appearance for GBVS: Rising. This is a very encouraging development because, as you say in the video, ArcSys has never done character skins before... and that's the one regard in which they're trailing behind just about every other top fighting game developer out there. I mean, we all love costumes... as long as they're reasonably priced 😆... and the more competition there is, the more reasonable prices get.

Beatrix will probably an interesting character mechanically as she's holding a sword that's specifically stated to 'devour fate' and grants power to overturn risky situations. She might get buffs the lower her HP gets and perfectly situated for a comeback scenario.

They put Siete in Relink and they made excuses for why Siete wasn’t playable in Versus (they want him in a tag fighter instead). Also, Sandy’s introduction is a big plot point and Versusia is confirmed to have animations like Beatrix.

For context on the DLC characters. Lucilius is the first fight in Story Mode Part 3 (Relink’s new story) and he plays like his Raid (before the fight starts, he hits you with 30k plain damage and in GBF, you die if you don’t have the required health.) He’s part of the trio of antagonists in What Makes the Sky Blue Side Stories (Bubs, Belial, and Lucilius) and is an Endgame Raid in GBF. He has the same JP VA for Cloud and is effectively GBF’s Sephiroth (he beheaded Lucifer and is using his head, which is why he has a neck scar.) Sandalphon was the replacement/apprentice for Lucifer, so it’s very likely he’ll follow suit as playable. As for 2B, while she was unexpected, the survey/poll we did for GBVS had a question for who we wanted GBVS to collab with and around 2 years later we finally found out who won that spot today. Vane is an axe weapon user, is compared to a FF Dragoon, and is the missing member of the Dragon Knights (Percival, Siegfried, and Lancelot.) Beatrix is a lot more interesting as her gimmick is based on a clock, so she should get stronger over time and also is an Emnity character (basically means the less health you have, the harder you hit and Beatrix usually has a Last Stand skill so you have to double tap her.) She is Eustace’s teammate and part of Society (Zeta, Vaseraga, and Eustace.) The story reveals two new characters who will likely be the remaining DLC spots (spoilers below for the story.) Sandalphon appears during the climax to help, but is only helping offscreen and Versusia is a character that also appears during the climax, to eliminate certain characters. Versusia has multiple arms, might be like Susanoo from BB, and is technically both a new and established character (sorta like Bubs in a way.) Sandalphon is like a mix between Cloud, Zach, and Vergil who was a villain at one point, before going through a character arc and became the Supreme Primarch and eventually a coffee shop owner. He has Summon Swords that can attack, if he’s not quickdrawing his sword and usually has a counter stance.

As if the game wasn't a waifu fest to begin with, let's throw 2B on top of it, what can go wrong. ^^ And of course the ArcSys-version of the character is the best looking iteration so far. As much as I love the look of most RE Engine games, Arc System Works is still king of graphics. They also managed to top the other Siegfried design-wise. And hey, was that a Daikatana reference in my fighting game channel? Not only is 2B entering Granblue, some of my favorite KZbin channels seem to collide here as well... :D

I can't be any happier to see Beatrix coming to rising. Voiced by one of my favourite VAs, but for the most part she's just outright silly lmao but that's why she's one of fan favourites. Also its a crime not to include her in when most of the 'Society Members' have made it in the game already (Vaseraga, Zeta, Eustace). Does this game have crossplay? And are the player numbers really that low? Dont wanna spend 50$ and dlc costs if the game wont even last a year like with Melty blood
