A great sweet spot scale and as usual you have packed out the features while remaining as accurate as possible with the layout. UCS is a flawed set as what is the Falcon without an interior, Marshall Banana's is truely amazing but just impossible to fit in the house! This is a fabulous solution, definately have a space saved for it next to your Marauder. The only request would be if you might design the forward escape pod? Bigfoot on Rebrickable did one, way back, for the UCS set and it was such a nice addition.

@@ArcherJLady Really, I've never heard of width/height scale, what are some example sets of each? I've always been told that the UCS Flacon, Slave I, and Imperial Shuttle are minifig scale

@@jetteriter4351 Basically, a minifig is wider than it should be for its height, so if you scale something based on minifig width, it'll be bigger than if you scaled based on height. Brickvault, for example, scales stuff based on minifig width, which is why their stuff runs a bit big. To get a bit more mathy, a lego minifig is 4 cm tall. The average person is about 170 cm tall, so minifig height scale is about 1/42 scale. An X-wing in this scale would be 32 cm long, but Brickvault's is 38 cm. On the topic of the Falcon though, I just double checked and actually you are correct! the Falcon is 34.75 meters, or 3,475 cm, which at 1/42 scale would be 83 cm. The UCS Falcon is 83 cm. So this is actually a bit underscaled then (I still don't mind, it's a gorgeous moc).

@@2bricksI could have somewhere (not sure if in one file, LDD wasn’t able to manage the whole model without crashes and freezes) the digital file of the Lego one, so maybe you could do a digital comparison. Oh man, i still have the official ucs falcon i need to build, but this really makes me want to use the pieces towards this. Any idea how much of legos ucs falcon can be put towards this? Also, any updates to your firefly serenity?

Thanks! the update to serenity is that its still happening, but very slowly and I hit several brick walls. Gonna be revisiting it in 2024 though!! as to the Falcon, rebrickable has the ability to compare exactly that with their handy comparison function!!

After reading about the fragility issues with the ucs one, I think I'm gonna sell it and get the pieces for this and have some cash left over. Yours is solid, swooshable, and full interior, seems like a no brainer. Edit: I remember reading that the landing gears retract is that right? If so how do those work?

@FLYxxBOY yes! They retract- there are pieces keeping them in place which you can remove and then tuck away the gears. I’ll be demonstrating that when I get the stand complete!!
