@@pugsnhogz For sure, lots of new players look at a solver and it makes their game worse. For example a lot of players will put way too much emphasis on blockers when calling down after looking at a solver a few times, rather than considering them as one part of the good strategy.

Thing is BB has 54 which wants to shove whatever SB does, BB couples enough 5x and 4x with that to make SB hands like K4, K5 indifferent (since they block both bluffs and value) while a hand like KJo becomes just -EV. Does that make sense?

Yes you are absolutely correct. This is the process the solver is repeating against itself to develop an equilibrium. It can lead to some pretty insane plays like showdown value bluffs where a hand can profitably shove while having less than 50% equity but >0 equity when called. That means it’s profiting by both folding out better hands and getting called by worse hands. This happens when the best bluffcatching hands have low linear value.

Yeah @@ltsjack explained it well - if we look at the SB's calling range OTR, it's basically 3 tiers of hands: 1. hands that block value with both cards - 2 pairs and sets (sets even beat value) - these are called full frequ. and are +EV 2. hands that block value, but also bluffs - 4x and 5x hands - mostly frequency calls, so ~0EV 3. hands that only block value with 1 card or less - pure folds and -EV calls

He would bet 1/6 on rivers and he would donkjam a flop after calling a 4bpot. He was just THE MAN regarless the fact that he studyed a lot.
