2CarPros I know this is late however it’s under u AC on passenger side it’s 3 bolts and the plate comes off after that u have to cut out the hole for the filter if not It should just take a fresh one u will feel it it’s right under that Plastic plate to the far back

The most detailed TB removal for this series of trucks. It's a bit different than my 04' and couldn't find anyone listing these for my 97'. Curious why you didn't take the entire intake manifold and EGR off to clean them while there.

that wasn't the maf sensor you unplugged...the maf sensor is plugged into the bottom of the air cleaner

It’s got locktight on the screw from the factory. Heat the bolts slightly enough to get the locktight to lossen. Then break loose.

1999 e150 loss of power at 65mph. New coil packs, new spark plugs, new fuel filter, new speed output sensor…can’t find the problem. It almost as if it has too much back pressure and pushes out spark plug wires and on coil packs. I don’t know what else. Next, I’m taking throttle body off but any suggestions on what else it could be? It could also be a vacuum leak possibly?

What about the sticker on it that says "do not clean"? The 2000 Ford Workshop Manual says "The throttle body bore and plate area have a special coating and cannot be cleaned". You must know about that.

From the battery? Whenever you have one terminal attached to the battery and you attach the other terminal there's going to be a little sparking as you complete the circuit

The upper one supplies bypass air to the idle air control valve (so air can still get into the engine at idle with the throttle body closed). The lower tube is part of the PCV system and goes to the drivers side valve cover.
