Also, while the drain plug is out, you can sacrifice a little fresh oil and pour some the filter housing, and let that kinda rinse out any impurities. But that's only if you're a baller like me hahaha

The bottom is usually covered with a plastic skid plate, but there is a access point, that you can open to get to the drain plug. So no need to take the skid plate off Edit: the dipstick is digital, you have to check it on the dash

BMW dealership is having a deal you give them $225 one-time fee and is good for 3 years oil change I went for that cuz in Connecticut an oil change for myself and 60 to $80 but at a mechanic anywhere from 112 to $200 so I went to the dealership instead now I don't have to go underneath my car for the next 3 years cuz it's free with a one-time payment

Hey now, sometimes you drive what you can get for cheap. And these are cheap for a reason. The maintenance costs are sky high. BUT if you do your own maintenance it really isn't bad. Thanks for watching Robert!
@bilalahmed2123 Жыл бұрын
Maintenance costs are quite reasonable, if you take care of the car ! I have one myself with oil changes every 5000km with German filter and oil.
@Na-qj7nm Жыл бұрын
BMW resell value is really low due to their reputation but the n52 is one it’s most reliable engines and maintanence costs are practically the same as any other car if you do everything on your own. Don’t forget transmission fluid tho, they should be done more frequently on beamers like every 20-30k or 2 years.
@Na-qj7nm Жыл бұрын
@@bilalahmed2123 especially if you don’t actually go to bmw for service and repairs, they will up charge you 100 for labor alone on an oil change and also triple any part costs. If you research their part manufacturers you can get the oe factory part ridiculouslessly cheaper than what they’d charge.
