I really enjoyed this one a lot. These two video are a great representation of your rock journey. Old Amy would have fit in very well with the "imagined" classical audience at your journey's start, with a similar look on your face as they had at the end of the performance. And now you're almost to the point where I won't be surprised to see you in the modern rock concert audience.😉 I thought you would get the song name when you kept hearing the "thunder" beat. Once that word popped into your head I think the rest of the song name would have come. I loved their performances, not only amazing, but hilarious. So glad you got to see both videos. Great reaction! I loved it!

Never saw anyone on stage playing a cello when I was younger, but in the late 1970's I did see a great crossover band rock, punk, new wave whatever, A band based in London called BETHNAL. They were on tour with Hawkwind when I saw them at Newcastle city hall in September 1978. Wow I had never seen or heard anything like them before. Their energy was unbelievable dancing all over the stage especially bass player Everton Williams, he must of covered every inch. Amazing drums and guitar, then front man George Csapo someone the music world especially you string players out there probably never heard of him. Great vocalists, keyboard player, and the cherry on top a great classically trained violinist. It's just a pity they split after only 2 studio and 1 live album, BETHNAL live at the BBC 1979. BUT there's some video on KZbin of a live performance of 2 songs from their 1st studio album (DANGEROUS TIMES) soldier boy and a song I still play today in the car with a great violin performance in the song Bartok. I hope you older people out there who remember well the late 70's music like me enjoy Bethnals performance on THE OLD GREY WHISTLE TEST show on the BBC. BETHNAL - Soldier Boy + Bartok "Live BBC studios"(OGWT) Old grey whistle test 9th may 1978. Enjoy best wishes from the north east coast of England.

In the original version here, the little girl in the red dress, and the boy arguing with his dad, totally make the video! Their responses are just so genuine in comparison to the adults (who have obviously been told to look serious). I worked at an investment firm once that had a summer internship program for high school kids. The younger sister, age 16, of a previous summer intern came to work with us, and we got to talking about music. She was a pretty little Hispanic girl who always wore a dress and a big, bright bow in her hair, and she was curious about the music liked by some of us older people on the team. So, I sent her a link to this video, and the Two Cellos cover of, "Welcome to the Jungle,' by Guns-n-Roses. I have never seen anybody go from "completely ignorant" to "squealing fangirl" so fast in my *entire life* . 😂 It was *hilarious* .😆 She immediately jumped on their Website and looked at their schedule. Then, she spun around in her chair and looked at me with her dark eyes *so wide* with delight. She said, breathlessly, "They're coming *here* this year!" 🤩😍 Made me feel good the rest of the day. 😊

My favourite character from Final Fantasy is FF7's world music. It starts as background, once you leave the first big story arc, and yoy'll hear it over and over as you walk around the world exploring and trying to unravel the web of confused memories, lies and mystery that is the character's history. Then, when you finally get the whole truth, it's scored to the music, and each phrase makes perfect sense and the crescendo comes at the tragic but surprising victory that everyone's talked around but nobody coupd exactly recall.

Haha, last video I thought to comment that 2 strings on your harp were broken but then I thought...certainly she'll notice at some point without me commenting! I enjoyed 2 cellos, I had not heard of them before but this stuff (classical musicians covering rock songs) happens regularly, it is a niche sector in music. One that immediately comes to mind is German violinist David Garrett (stage name) who, for 2 hours, in front of 20,000 people, plays Queen's "We Will Rock You" on a $ ??? Million Stradivari. I like his act as well. Amy, even in rock music there's the concept of "sell outs", artist who careme away from their original integrity to new ventures that make them more money and usually the cheap corporate intentions are clear. Before "Conte partio" made Andrea Bocelli famous, he had performed the European traditional cycles of Opera houses for 20 years doing traditional classical Opera performances, I would further contend that Conte partio is a song in the spirit of classical Opera, it is NOT rock music. Some of the stuff he did after that...well, are questionable but, it must be assumed, under a lot of contractual pressure from labels. André Rieu also has a bonafide back ground career in classical music but he (a fellow country man of mine) does seem like a sell out, I just fail to see a true commitment in spirit when he works the modern scenes and in his personal life he cheaply flaunts his wealth and seems overly excited with his status. That's just my take, but in general terms classical music lovers need to learn to not be so dismissive of musicians, artists who broaden their artistic horizons...that is what they are doing. Their is NO EVIDENSE that classical music is threatened by these niche endeavors. And Amy you still struggle with concept-ionizing that modern music is almost never an exercise in difficulty level, a recital, it is about moving emotions however simple it is to accomplish. Great video, I really enjoyed learning about 2 cellos. Thank you.

The first time I heard them do "thunderstruck" the cellists, in a classical music hall, playing classic instruments, they and audience were in 16th century clothing, responding to the unorthodox musicians in a manner of a 16th century audience would... shocked! ;-D Ah, you did see it (17:36). The "parents" response to their kids was hilarious. What would Mozart think? ;-) The audience knows where they are, that they came to listen to these two musicians play, they recognize the instruments, but their world is flipped over by the noise being manipulated from these two what they had thought was normal looking musicians instruments?
