ITZY is often called the 4th generation leaders of the girl groups with them debuting in 2019. They came out with concepts that were more about self love and confidence instead of songs about love love which was more of a staple of previous gens. Dance performances from them are some of the most viewed, Wannabe is there most viewed MV at over 500Mil. The 5th member is Lia the main vocalist. She is on hiatus for health reasons. But her solo song is on this album. Speaking of the solo songs they are the first time that ITZY has written lyrics and coproduced songs. Usually they work with producers and song writers for the group songs. The whole group has been described as talented enough to be all soloists from their PD JYP. They can sing live, dance like crazy and have killer charisma. All while being a bunch of goof balls in heartwarming variety shows.

Didn't even know that. lol I guess if Baby Monster is considered 4th then NewJeans would be? I googled "What gen is ITZY" and apparently "netizens" were arguing about them being 3rd or 4th. I think I'm ok just being happy they exist. lol
