I definitely do think that the doors and windows would extrude better if you were either working with a higher poly count overall or being more careful about using less cuts with the knife tool so that the extrusions are consistent with the loops going throughout the rest of the model. Hope this helps in some way! I’m still pretty beginner/intermediate when it comes to 3D so this might not be, like, the most correct solution, but it’s how I would approach it, lol. Looks fantastic for a first model, though!

@Love2DrawManga6 ай бұрын

@cyscossafehouse3526 ай бұрын
@@Love2DrawMangaIm pretty sure you can do it if you right click the model on Object Mode and then select "Shade Smooth by Angle" from the dropdown menu. It should work in your case, since you already have the right angles set on your model in order for it to generate sharp edges.

I tried figuring it out in high school because back then I really wanted to make a video game, but after watching like three tutorials I got way too confused and when I came back after taking a lengthy break I forgot everything I learned lol...;; I really want to unlock her ability to sculpt props for my comics and models of 2D characters, I'd be so powerful~ (and you know if you learn how to model characters you could get them 3D printed into figurines 👀)

Addressing Issues with the Balcony The first step in resolving any issues you may be experiencing with the balcony is to go to the editing mode and check the face orientation. Ensure that all the pieces are facing the correct direction. In my experience, this usually helps resolve many problems. Cutting Holes and Importing Models When it comes to cutting holes into the model and importing them into other programs, it's crucial to ensure that the model has sufficient support geometry. Here's a simple fix that can help with this problem: Select the faces around the window or door. Press Ctrl+T to convert them to triangles. Press Alt+J to convert them back to quads. This process should hopefully fix the problem you're encountering. Importing Colors from Blender to Clip Studio If you want to import the colors you created in Blender to Clip Studio for your model, follow these steps: Go to your rendering settings in Blender. Enable "Color Management" and set the "View Transform" to "Raw." In your viewport, set the "Render Pass" to "Diffuse Color." Export to FBX. By following these steps, you should be able to import the colors you created in Blender to Clip Studio for your model. I hope these tips help you resolve the issues you're facing and enhance your workflow.

For some real good blender building tutorials. I’d recommend finding Polygon Runway. As for some who say “that’s cheating”. It’s not cheating if it’s perfectly legal. Plus art for comics and animation is industrial, so we need everything we can manage. You can also challenge them and say “if you think I should, let’s see you do it first.” If they can’t, then that’ll have them beat.

It's always awsome to see someone else enjoying using blender. I have been using it for about 5 yeara now and have learnes a lot, but I still have a lot to learn. Something i have found helpful in modeling complex modes like buildings is to not be afraid to make things out of separate pieces. using separate pieces to make some trim for the door and for the face of the door itself would help hide the messy edge of the door frame. As you use blender more you will get better at makeing clean models but cutting organic or compound shapes out of a mesh is pretty challenging at first. Hopefully some part of that was helpful. Goodluck with your future projects.

I’ve had that same issue with parts of models being blacked out and a way to get round it is by just turning off the shadows before turning it into line art, I’ve also found that by messing around with the lighting and adding fog you can also get it to register as just line art after turning of tones when converting to line art.

The easiest way to fix your shading problem is to use the edge split modifier in the modifiers tab, and just adjust the angle setting till it looks good. The reason this works is because smooth shading averages the shading of an area with the shading of the areas its connected to, and the edge split disconnects areas where there is a sharp angle, giving you smooth shading where the model is smooth, and sharp shading where the model is angular.

About the weird shading and parts of the model appearing black: If you have sharp corners on your model (such as doors with depth), use Auto Smooth. You can also select edges (in the “Edge” tab in edit mode) and mark them as Sharp. As the name of the function suggests, it makes those edges appear sharp. And about the parts of the model showing up black in Clip Studio Paint: When modelling in blender, always turn on “Backface Culling” (To find it, click the small arrow on the right of the 4 spheres/shading modes at the top of the screen) If your model looks like it’s inside out, select it, go to Edit Mode, open the “Mesh” tab, go to normals and click “Flip.” Hope this helps!! also love your mushroom house model :3
