Its possible with hacrf one device....repalce with bladerf???
@RobVK8FOESАй бұрын
Hi. No, this will never be possible to do because the HackRF is not full-duplex. It can't transmit and receive at the same time. It's also not possible to use two HackRF's to achieve this.

How do you think, is it better than osmocom project? I work with usrb b200 and osmobts, bts, etc. It is working but it was reallly hard to install and call to another phone (and very low speed of ps part)

Hi. I haven't had much experience using OpenBTS specifically. I have played around with Osmo-NITB-Scripts, which I believe is a quick and dirty way to get started with OpenBTS. I've had really good luck with YateBTS and a BladeRF, it seems very reliable and stable!

Hi! Is it possible to use a cheaper antenna like a USB Antenna or some jumper cables to use as antennas, and even eSim?
@RobVK8FOES5 ай бұрын
Hi. Are you referring to the actual antenna, or the radio receiving and transmitting the signals? I think you are talking about the radio unit itself. The answer is no, because this tutorial requires you to use a full-duplex transmit-capable software defined radio. This is how the phone will interact with the base station software on the physical communication layer.

lel. Was just ebaying hackRF the other night. (ed; HAHAH! And you just mentioned it!)

did you cancel it? I'm waiting for it to arrive. I hope its worth it
@RobVK8FOES5 ай бұрын
@usernotfound342 They're a logical next-step up from an RTL-SDR, but they're famously 'deaf' in their receiver circuitry, and their front-end's are easily damaged when exposed to high-power RF sources. So please be very careful and it is advised to NEVER turn on the receiver pre-amp, EVER. To be honest, there are better options in the price range of the HackRF, such as the LimeSDR Mini 2.0. Overpriced it may be, but you'll have full-duplex for 2G base stations :)
