RIP Michael ❤ My friends and I were obsessed with 2gether when we were 14. Their songs were hilarious and they were all so talented. We loved they weren’t the typical cookie cutter boyband. We cried so hard when Michael died. We then wrote him into our fanfiction as an Angel lol it was cute. The only member I’ve seen in other things over the years is Jerry. I think I may have seen Mickey in one thing too. If Michael hadn’t passed they could have been huge. There was a lot of vocal talent in the group. Most underrated boyband of all time which is funny because they were supposed to be a parody of boybands.

Let's face it, these guys were basically the Monkees for Y2K. That's not an insult, either. They were that good. Looking back, I can take issue with a couple of plot points as a writer, but the casting and concept are brilliant. It's been done before, as previously stated, but when it's done this well, you can't really complain. A lot of it I admit is nostalgia and the plot does have its issues, but for its time and considering it was made for an MTV audience, I can't complain too much. This would never work today, though. Music today basically parodies itself. When Blink 182 showed up and made solid punk/alternative rock music for their satirical music videos, it still kind of worked, but again, since everyone's being ridiculous, it doesn't have the same impact. And at least back then, we knew this kind of pop music was basically the equivalent of McDonalds and nobody was pretending it wasn't. In the early 2000s, those boybands just got more tattoos, learned to play 3 chords on the guitar and suddenly they were trying to pass themselves off as "serious artists." I can't believe the music I disliked back then I really appreciate for at least being unpretentious. It knew what it was about and didn't lie to its audience. This stuff was all about an unabashed, honest formula: Half-dressed late teens-early 20s guys and girls with personal trainers and their steroid dealer on standby mugging for the camera while singing in falsetto for an audience mostly of girls and young women under 18 - because usually by that age, they've moved on to actual porn and strip clubs.

@kenlieck77563 жыл бұрын
Manoman, this was the first and only DVD I ever bought new - saw it in Tower Records and I have no idea how I knew I oughtta do it, but MTV must've ordered next to no copies on DVD because within a few months I was able to sell the sucker for $200! Of course, I burned off a dub first (or should I say "dubbed one out"?) and also snapped up a VHS copy at a thrift store for 99¢ (those were easy to find then). Eventually I located another DVD copy and eBayed that one for $300, and eventually they became so impossible to get that even the VHS ones went up in price and mine netted me yet another $100 -- that's six sweet Benjamins all2ge+her (I know *my* calculus, you feel me?!?) I think finally everyone who cared managed to get either a DVD, VHS, bootleg copy or video file, though, and sadly I'm pretty sure your copy won't put you through Music Industry Defense Training, Choreography College and/or a comfortable retirement into the "Where Are They Now" file...

I was just thinking about how 1) I can't find my VHS recording of this, and 2) even if I could, I don't think the VCR works! THANK YOU FOR THIS!

Jeez the amount of memories that just came back to me during these times! I never thought time would fly this fast when I was a teenager...u feel like you’re gonna be young forever at that age ...I’d give anything to go back just to hang with my click of friends again ... such great times!
