A lot of people initially complained that only ONE person from the Top 10 made it to Top 8, but honestly the way this turned out was even better! Not only do we get to see top players compete in crews, but we also get to see lesser known players fight on the big stage...I mean a freaking captain falcon and a Link?! That's just Insane! :O ...Hopefully since Zero won Civil War Crew Battles, that might make up for his terrible "upset"! ;)

I honestly can't believe a Link made 3rd at such a big tournament. This is completely mind blowing. I've been playing Link since I got the game (only 15 months) but I don't think anyone ever imagined a Link getting so far. I know there is definitely some luck involved. BUT HOLY COW!!! 3RD AT CIVIL WAR!!!

And here I thought I was the only Link who fast falls and uses N air to stop recoveries since it works so often and I cant believe every Link I ran into even a handful of decent ones never do this. One thing T should abuse more is using his Hookshot to space in the air it works so well and has little landing lag

Yes of course why shouldnt I, I've always seen his placing in tier list yet he comes close to victory when players use him against top threats and places decently but finally he wins to open peoples eyes for once to show what can happen at his peak. Now if only Roy gets a good result next since hes another greatly underrated character, overall I just want the meta to be more open minded but most characters instead of people simply picking high tiers for winning and not discover anything huge.

Yes I agree. I am a strong believer that atleast 90% of the cast in useable to a high level, its just that a lot of top players underrate a character until someone comes out from nowhere and starts showing the characters true talents. I'll list a few examples, link, megaman, mewtwo, olimar etc. (Lol a lot of these charcters happen to be from Japanese players). Anyway I believe that smash will keep on developing and more unconventional tech/characters will be displayed.

LMAO even after running into a bunch of Links ive only ran into one thats kinda close to as competent as T and despite being so good in his movement he got beat, I dont see how this looks like a casual match even I wish I had a link that fluid. Plus the technique of Fatality with the Footstool combos and good aproaches.
