Nothing but respect for Samsora and Kirihara in the group stages. They knew in their last matches that they would not make it out no matter what they do, yet they still tried their hardest and ended up winning the set. But all on all, hope Tweek and Fatality aren't too down by that pressure from RR pools, especially my boy Tweek.

Yeah, T definitely deserves credit to. I'm just specifically referring to the players who had no chance of getting out of pools, yet still tried their best. I believe if T beat Samsora by a large margin, he could have qualified for second, so it's normal for him to try.

Fatality only really gave up in Game 3 against ZeRo when it was clear that he was gonna lose the set. Plus, unless he staged a crazy comeback, the results of the game-count wouldn't have mattered in that pool. Fatality also didn't look salty or tilted either; just that he knew he got outplayed. Tweek though, yeah he fell apart against Void and Ally.

Matthew Mazzatto fatality tweeted that he he wasn't trying the whole set. Those falcon punches were not mistakes. He just didn't care anymore from game 1.

Really great set. Samsora got lucky not getting shield poked by fair at the end but in close matches like that, luck is a component.
