Characters like Link have a lot of potential. That's why I'm suprised he isn't top tier. Good job on the tuturial!
@carsonlarson1517 жыл бұрын
He's not top tier because he's slow, laggy, and has almost no combo game. I'd put him in high mid tier.
@condor63277 жыл бұрын
X Intelligence try watching the video mate
@carsonlarson1517 жыл бұрын
I know he's viable, but in order to be top-tier you need to have either a ridiculous strength or just being good at almost everything. Link really has neither. He's still good and certainly fun to play and watch, but (at least in my opinion, and I've have horrible opinions) he's nowhere near that upper echelon.
@okami78477 жыл бұрын
Epic_stuff Link's max potential would be B-Rank to put it simple. He's definitely a C-Rank or mid-tier character because has too many notable weaknesses and his strengths aren't strong enough.
@bartymatrix77 жыл бұрын
He has too much work to win, which unfortunately makes people pick easier characters. But I would put him the bottom of high tier.

And thats why I play Link. well....Im a link main so don't take what Im gonna say personally.. Link kinda sucks competitively. His worst matchups are like all of the high tier characters sadly. but that doesn't mean I won't try and make him good! (I won a local tourney with link and felt so dope doing it :D)
@IzAwSmash7 жыл бұрын
J he doesn't, he's high tier imo
@Thorozak7 жыл бұрын
I'm a Link main as well, and he is pretty good. He has a lot more going for him than the other low tier characters.
@42Tonyallen427 жыл бұрын
IzawSmash All im saying is look at tournaments, NOBODY in their right mind plays link. He's bottom 20 in every single tier list because he's slow, heavy, his recovery is predictable and his walling game isn't as good as everybody thinks it is. Characters like Cloud, Fox, Bayo, Mario, Mewtwo and Diddy all shit on him in every way
@42Tonyallen427 жыл бұрын
Thorozak_ I totally agree, he's fun as hell, hence why I main him. I never have a dull moment when playing link and toon link. That being said Im not delusional enough to think he's high tier or even mid tier, so if you're a link main with any hopes of going far in a tournament, then you need to pick up a high tier main for his totally awful matchups
@Bababatsy7 жыл бұрын
Izaw Smash "constantly giving me hope in all characters i plan to learn" i've always wanted to main Link but have always been put down with everyone saying he's quite low tier.. but i feel he has super huge potential and is generally NOT THAT BAD.. and you making these just gives me so much more hope! Extra tip for fighting characters with instant counter (such as Little Mac, or almost the entire Fire Emblem cast) doing a down air without fast fall will still bounce just like on the normal shield, but is actually the safer option for most counters because keeps you out of the strike from the counter (especially good for annoyingly long counters like Shulk's). Just thought that was worth mentioning since it's the opposite of what you do for avoiding shield combos.
@ZachAttack4277 жыл бұрын
In my experience Link is the most balanced character in the game IF you know how to use him. He's been my main from the very beginning and even now I use my own Link amiibo to help myself train. Here's what I see. Link is a character that has no distinct weaknesses or strengths to cover or rely on, but you must be skilled in using what he has at the right time by analysing the opponents pattern then striking like a snake when the weak points show. You gave a perfect example of this Izaw.
