@@dolcemaddalena a few months ago I fell down a rabbit hole when looking up rice cookers. The Japanese Zojirushi ones aren't available in Europe, but the Korean brand Cuckoo is getting into the market. So I was debating getting an un-branded one or one of the Cuckoo's that are available in Europe. When you get excited about auto-clean functions and worry whether you should save up more money to get one that has induction other people just shake their heads. I've lived in Asia and I always loved rice, I think people just don't know what wonders they're missing out on.

The temperature control being important for kimchi makes a lot of sense because they used to put kimchi in the large clay vessels and then bury them in the ground. That would keep the temperature constant and also control the moisture level. Also, that fridge and freezer is huge. For someone who makes as much food as she does it will be a real help.

When you said beige and old rosé kind of pink I was worried it might clash too much with the kitchen cabinets, but it looks so good! And even I, as someone who hates the colour pink (in almost all of it's shades) think this looks cool. It's really subtle and the sort of glass finish of the fridge makes it look more subtle and elegant rather than obnoxious - which was my worry.
