I personally think the harest thing of living abroad is that you’re not able to be there for your loving one.. While I lived in Canada, my mom got a car accident in Korea but she didn’t let me know at the time BC she didn’t want me to worry her😢 I’m so so glad Sarah spending great time with her family and she seems way healthier and happier around them(also Sarah’s hair and face look so silky and soft✨) Thanks for this great video you guys as usual🎄

My mother has dementia, she is now living in a care facility. We brought her back to the house for Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. She recognizes us, but not the house she was living in for the past 40 years. We're grateful that she could spend the holidays with us. I'm so happy for you Sarah, that you got to see your grandmother and spend some time with her. BTW my mother's name is the same as yours, Sarah. Merry Christmas to you both. 🎄🎅☃💜

Since my grandfather passed away, the same thing happened to my grandmother. It’s been 6 years and doctors say it’s not a dementia, just a deep depression 😕. Unfortunately, all we can do is be there and give support.

My favourite thing to do with her was listen to her stories and look at old photos. She passed a few years ago, now, but I think of her every day, often multiple times a day. What a beautiful place! I always wanted to go to NS! I understand what you mean. Living overseas when something monumental happens to a family member is difficult. I have went back and forth for years. I finally had to release taking care of my mother, whom has alzheimers/dementia now, after being away from my husband and kids for 4 years. It is hard, but, it is also wonderful when other members of the family step up to help. Take care..I know it is tough. Such a pleasure watching your vlogs. Hi ... merry Christmas if you read this now! Yes, going back home brings a lot of emotions on the family updates. You are doing the rigth thing being there for your gran, she may be forgetful now... but that is not just age, it is the aftermath of loss. It happened to me and i was younger, So don't package this into just age related issue. She will get better and may surprise you, but 50yrs is a long time.... Pls do a memory book for her, so she can look back and catch glimpse of past happiness. I appreciate your videos you are an amazing couple... keep it up love you both ..🥰

I am living in Toronto and I have not seen him since pandemic outbreak. He is also not doing well, cannot eat any solid food anymore. We have a similar situation with my mother in law getting dementia. Her husband passed last Christmas and her mind broke. It takes a whole village of people to care for a person with memory issues. They are so vulnerable. I’m glad you got to see your grandma. My mother in law will be staying with us tomorrow for a few days but I don’t think she remembers who I am and I have been married to her son for over 26 years.

지금 서울이 영하 12도인데 더 춥단 얘기인가요? 엊그제는 한파주의보내려서 잠깐 외출했는데 눈썹이 얼더라구요. ㅎ it's minus 22 degree celsius here in seoul and Halifax is much colder than here? Can't imagine 😆 really hope you two have a wonderful time with your family!
