Of course everyone is different, but for me, I usually say it casually pretty early on but say it with sincerity later when it feels right. In English I think you can get your point across with your tone.

From the US: My husband said I love you only 3 months in, but I thought that was way too soon. I waited until a year to say I love you. When I said it he wasn't surprised because he said I showed it through my actions. Took my thunder haha. We have been married for 6 years ❤️

It took about 3 months into our relationship and he said it first. I knew I loved him in just 2 months but I held back from saying it because I thought it was too early. Now after being together almost 3 years, I think there's no time frame on when to say I love you for the first time. If you feel it, then say it but make sure you mean it.

For me, I love you means a deep feeling as well as a commitment to a relationship. And in my mother tongue there are several variations of I love you depending on how deep your feelings currently are. But you wouldn't say it easily or early.

I'm a widow. But my husband when I met him, he was Russian. We ran smack dab into each other at a hotel. I got kind of mad about it, because I was tired. But the next day with my friends, he got me breakfast. One month in, he said I love you. I come from a close type of family in Texas. So, we say I love you pretty fast to family and friends. I didn't know if it was going to work out with us, because of him being Russian, and would move on. I miss him every day. Watching you guys gives me that warm feeling. Because it reminds me of how he and I acted.

My husband and I fell in love on our first date. We immediately knew we had found “the one.” We got got married 3 weeks after our first date and we have been married for 39 years. 🙊 We are still each other’s best friend and do everything together. I am russian/german living in Germany, my husband is korean. He said i love you i think after few days of dating and i was so shocked XD it was so hard for me to reply „i love you too“ so i would not hurt his feelings ^^‘ obliviously i liked him a lot but it took me waaay longer to actually mean it when i say it^^’ he was also the first guy i dated that i said „i love you“ to. For me personally i feel like it take few months to actually feel and being able to say it. It seems that in western countries this words mean a lot of commitment when you say them

I'm surprised his previous GFs called him goofy and said he doesn't take life seriously. Kyuho doesn't seem that goofy, maybe a little silly at times. I have seen some other international couples where the men are definitely goofy and quirky. Maybe in Western cultures being goofy/quirky is seen as cute and endearing by some. And a more acceptable personality trait.

I'm from Argentine and we have like to words for I "love you " like we have "te quiero" which is like I care for you (but is no so deep ) and then we have "te amo" which translates to I love you. So we tend to use te quiero more casually and te amo when you really mean it. 🤗

when I met my husband, he said he was "in love with me" - before he said he loved me. Which was nice, cause at that point I was in love. So - we just got off to a good start by being really honest with eachother and present in our emotions. Im not sure when it was he said he loved me, but I had to move abroad for a semester at uni, right after we met, so we might have been long distance and it may have been over the phone. Anyhoo!! We had 1 date, I went abroad. We had longdistance for 6 months. I got back and on the day I returned we moved in together, and we spent a year like that, then we got married, after 1 yr together and then 15 yrs went by, and this month we have our 15th wedding anniversary. - So not the typical relationship path perhaps LOL.

Ours was not a marriage made in heaven, and a convenience for him. Mutual respect is so important, something I gave but he never returned.
