I still remember the clips of Kyuho helping to prep your friends’ cafe before it opened, I can’t believe that was 2 years ago already! It’s always sad to see a beloved community spot close but it sounds like they have an interesting project ahead. Good luck to them! Another great video as always. Oh wow! Happy belated Birthday Kyuho’s dad. I’m glad that your whole family could get together and celebrate. That cake your sister made was beautiful. I guess she inherited your mom’s baking skills and you inherited her cooking skills. Although it seems your dad cooks too. It’s a shame that the tulips were sparse along the place where you were biking. At least you were able to see them on the other place-although it was quite crowded. What a quaint little store/cafe your friend had. It’s a bummer that they’re closing their doors. At least you had one final gathering before they closed for good. Sara, I’m glad that your mom is recovering well from her shoulder surgery. Thanks for sharing.

I LOVE spring. Everything just seems so fresh and new. It’s such a contrast to the stark, gray days of winter. I much prefer the green leaves on the trees instead of just naked branches. You all made Korean springtime look absolutely lovely.

Just arrived in Seoul two days ago to visit my daughter and was surprised when we went out yesterday how hot it already was. We walked around Seokchon Lake and I’m sad I missed the cherry blossoms by a few days but can’t believe the other types of flowers already in bloom. 🌷🌸

What a great week! Thank you for sharing the beautiful flowers and Kyuho’s daddies’ birthday dinner with us. The meat and all of the dishes looked amazing! May I ask…. The grilled garlic cloves-did they stay in that metal dish on the grill to brown, or were they put directly onto the grill? They looked amazing!! The cake that Kyuho’s sister made was beautiful! I’m sure mama was very proud. Sarah, prayers going up for your mama post surgery, and for a super speedy recovery! I received my email from Ana Luisa about the buy one get one 40% off. The garlic gloves stay in that little dish of sesame oil on the grill until they’re soft and golden brown 😊 And thank you ❤️ My mom still has her sling on of course, but she’s starting to feel more like herself again. Spring was a bit colder here in NY, but also felt far too short this year 🥲 The tulips are so pretty! You’ve inspired me to go for a bike ride to try and find some today 😁

Actually the cold frost can kill Tulip bulbs too. My friend works for NYC Parks Dept and she would dig out the bulbs for winter to protect them from frost and rats. Some people throw on a thick layer of hay mulch to protect their buried tulip bulbs, but that also cause insect breeding. You know those hay mats they wrap on the trees in Korea? Those are bait traps so insects lay eggs on it, and they remove them and burn them in the late winter. I found a whole horticulture paper discussing the tree wrapping in Korea.

9:13 저도 뉴스에서 봤는데 트럭 뒤에 동그란 눈을 그려 넣으면 졸음운전이 예방되는 효과가 있다고 하네요. 트럭뒤의 눈을 보면 감시의 눈 이라는 효과가 발생한다고 해서 누군가 자기를 보고 있는 느낌에 졸음방지랑 추돌방지 예방이 된다고 한국도로공사에서 트럭에 나눠줬던 뉴스였네요ㅎㅎㅎ

Lol, I've been making soap for about 6 years now, but I didn't have the guts to sell it until the pandemic - I opened my Etsy shop because people couldn't get soap! 😂🤣 My soap is way less chic though, it's nerdy and based on like books, dungeons and dragons, etc. I've always wanted to send you guys some but last time I checked, I couldn't find a PO box for you (and then I chickened out because I was worried that it would be too nerdy, and also I know you guys have sensitive skin and I would be mortified if it caused you discomfort, lol)! I wish your friends luck with their new business, there's a good market for vegan soaps out there! And everyone has something unique and awesome to bring to the table, there are so many talented makers! in Lithuania masks are just recommended to wear inside, just in public transportation it's must. People here, if something recommended, then means that no need 🤣 I so used to masks, that feels very weird without it inside shops or malls. I still wear it

A lot of it IS authorized-it’s just the vibe of the area 😊 Seongsu-dong also has some cool graffiti spots to brighten up old/rundown buildings.
