usually, i don't make New Year resolutions, but last year i made one - to try to go to sleep a bit earlier. Last summer i broke my leg and whole my routine fell apart and i started to sleep earlier. Now my resolution to go more often outside and to recover faster, cause still my leg doesn't work well and my physics is still bad. So Happy New Year everyone. Lowell looking dapper as ever! It’s always nice to be able to reconnect with old friends, especially in times of need. Our dog turned 16 yo in October and has really started to show his age in the last year. It’s difficult to be nearing the end of a creature so precious to us, but we also have no idea how much longer we might get with him and when we’ll need to make some hard decisions. It could be tomorrow, it could be 6 months from now. We joke around that he could keel over at any moment or he’s going to outlive us all. So we exist at this moment in the grey area of cherishing every day and also mourning the inevitable. It’s something we all go through as pet parents but it never gets any easier.❤

It can be difficult to be festive when you are going through tough times. Trying to stay in the positive during difficult times is not easy. Hope you both can enjoy some quiet time with Beemo, making memories. Life is so fragile. A week before Christmas I was in a multiple vehicle collision as a passenger and was injured. I already struggle with physical and mental health, especially at Christmas time, and the accident caused more pain and not being able to move much sucked what little I had left. I actually ended up having to go back to ER on Christmas Eve due to pain, made a joke with my son (who came to hospital with me so I wouldn't be alone) that at least we were still spending family time together. I still tried to be festive but it was not easy at all. I learned with the accident that life really is fragile. I had to see my son's face looking terrified because I was being taken away in an ambulance and realizing that if the vehicle I was in had been a little farther ahead I may not have been here at all for Christmas. Hug Beemo, gently, for us all. Happy New Year to you all.

@@2hearts1seoul Thankfully I was able to go home the day of accident, after a very long wait in waiting room to get checked out with x-rays and such (Canada not great with wait times). I was very bruised, swollen and sore afterward and doctor said I would be for while because seltbelt did it's job. Which I am so grateful for, even though it hurts a lot. Had to go back Christmas Eve because my leg was still really swollen and pained and hurt to breathe and wanted to double check they didn't miss something due to swelling. Just started to be able to move around without a lot of pain but still need to be careful if I move the wrong way or anything touches my leg. It was pretty scary and put some things in perspective for me but also changed plans for holidays a great deal. I am glad it wasn't worse than it was, just focused on healing atm. It has been difficult trying to get in festive spirit whilst in pain but I tried because it could have been different and that was scary.

hmmm.. i am not really doing new year's resolutions. i don't want to put pressure on myself and feel bad if i don't do those things. but what i do is reflect on the past year and find out what things are my priorities, what went well and needs to be continued and what things do i want to leave behind. i noticed that oftentimes i don't appreciate the things i manage to do enough or don't give myself enough credit, so this is a time to do so to motivate myself to keep going. and also ranking priorities makes focusing on important stuff easier and keeps me from getting lost within all the less important things. kind of trying to get a new perspective for the new year to start from.

Lovely vlog ! I had been waiting for an update on Beemo. Many prayers for him and you both. It was nice to see your friend again too.
