A lot of people don't know that even though Korea is on the same latitude as some Mediterranean countries, there is a major wind path from the North that blows through Korea making it colder than some Nordic countries during winter. In Toronto, Canada its been -20 C with 90km winds. It has calmed down a bit now. When we were inside, we could hear the wind blowing. It has calmed down a bit now, but it's still cold cold cold. Happy winter blessings!

I'm like your dad, lol. I hate snow at all times. I used to hate it a lot more a few years ago and I've found that I haven't hated as much the last year or so, but I'd still rather never see snow in person again. I grew up with snow in the north of England ( less snow than Canada but more than Seoul). It was great for making a snowman or tobogganing, but once the festive season was over it was just tedious trying to get anywhere. Now I’m in Australia & melting!!! Happy Christmas to you all.😊

I'm definitely with you that snow has a good window in which it's appreciated and when it's not, haha. I think for me it depends when the snow starts, but I'm generally okay with it up until like St. Patrick's Day, but after that, I need spring to start. I'm in the midwest now though for the holidays and we have both snow and cold, so it's very cozy. Merry Christmas, stay warm!

So all of December it's magical. Late spring when everything has melted off but a cold front moves through? Magical. Early fall- magical. November and after the holidays though? No it just signifies cold, wet misery.

Maybe once a year, some years the whole winter is just grey sky without sun and a lot of rain. It's so depressing... So you can imagine I get sooooo happy when it really snows hard!! Usually I'm always happy when it snows, except for when it does a second time in January or February, then I just want spring to be here already haha. I hope it does snow this year but we've mostly had a lot of rain so far.

Merry Christmas you guys! Mother nature knew you were sad that you couldn't go to Canada, and she was like "I got your back!" with that snow. ♥️ We have only gotten rain so far, but it has been COOOOLD. It got down to -30C the other night here. Today's high is like -8C. Just got a good fire going in the fireplace while I wait for family to come for presents and brunch! The Holiday is one of my favorite Christmas time movies. When Jack Black tells Iris she would sound like the melody he wrote and he used only the good notes....😭😭😭😭😍 Iris is the superior character in that movie, imo (but Jude Law is a SNACC)! Merry Christmas! 메리 크리스마스! The snow looks so pretty in Seoul. I generally don't like snow. I think it's because here in New York (Long Island), while it's falling it looks pretty, but it quickly turns gray and disgusting... plus driving or walking when it turns slippery is not fun at all. It's interesting that you mentioned changing to snow tires. I remember my father used to do that, but now all-weather tires are the norm so you don't have to switch tires twice a year.

Merry Christmas! I’m kinda jealous of the snow. I grew up in Germany, where we’d often have snow. Now I live in Alabama and if it snows here, it’s a light dusting and usually doesn’t even last a day. Though my husband used to be stationed in Korea many years ago and did say that the winters in South Korea are way too cold for his liking.
