sir i dont understand the part where it says that the at 9:20, 6 counters are occupied out of which 4 are US. I dont understand how did we conclude that us counters for sure are occupied.

Write the time wise distribution for us counters...u will find that at 9.20...all are busy

45:42 there are 20 slots not 10 slots right? So shouldn’t it be 20*2 * 5 instead of 10*2*5.

In set 1 , we know that professor from O&Q voted for Q since F&A does not have any professor and we also know that Prof Q received vote from Prof. S so, basically Prof. S belongs from O&Q ? Can someone verify this?

as it is mentioned that " all the non-candidates of each dep voted for same candidate" SO IT MEANS that the candidate from that dep voted for someone else. According to this, how Samuel can be from B&H?! as the non candidates of B&H voted for Pakrasi and Samuel being a candidate also voted for Pakrasi so how can Samuel be a candidate of B&H

There is no constraint limiting the candidate faculty to vote for the same faculty as his fellow faculty members in the same department. I.e. S can vote for P and so can his department mates. It is just that you cannot vote for a faculty in the same department as your own. TLDR: the constraint only says that regular department faculty have to vote for the same person, this doesn't limit the candidate in the department from voting the same person as them as long the person they vote for isn't in their dept.

in VPO set, how did you figure out that Ira, Vijay, Nandini are applicant no. 4,5,6 ? i mean how 4,5,6?

It is clearly stated in the questions that they are scheduled in that order, and on top of that we have concluded that there are only 3 applicants who want to apply for the schengen visa as point number 2 clearly states , once we have established the breakdown of a slot in terms of the types of applicants it remains same throughout the entire question.

How do we know that Ira is 4th applicant?

because ira enters at 9:20 , and she is late...so in counter 1 there was applicant 1 and 3 and meanwhile applicant 2 was in counter 2...there fore ira was just the next.

That's cause, for every slot, the number of candidates appearing for each category (shenghan) is the same. As we know.. ira, vijay and nandini appeared for 9:15 slot.. that means there has to be 3 candidates for each category. So, there must be three candidates before them.
