I been working on my 2j swap for the past two years on and off. Almost done just wiring and plumbing. I like seeing new 2j swap guys doing this chassis. A cool idea I’m doing is using that 54way bulk connector for a quick unplug of engine harness if needed. Bought old Subaru 4 plug ecu to salvage for the header pins and soldered my leads from that header to the management. So it’s a pnp at the end of the day. Stock wiring has all the correct pin outs inside and outside to get your power/grounds/sensor grounds,5v. Take a bit to plan it all out but end of the day looks oem plus. Still using dbw stock pedal with z33 tb but moving over to etb00021 hitachi unit. Literally using stock harness and use all ign/coil/inj/o2 relays, for your fans use stock wiring just two wires that the management grounds out. Everything you need to run will run in that chassis harness.

I plan on doing exactly that! I was going to buy the kpower adapter board to use with the haltech and make my own harness. Its $400 but I may have to look into buying a Subaru ECU to dissect instead. I'm going to use stock pedal + a bosch TB. Appreciate the info!

@@Christofo if you need a board made Russ efi can help you. He had me made a header to break out board just for these 4 plug headers. I saw he designed a single pin vs the double pin out he made me. I was going to contact him to design one for emu black. Doing break out board and using oem ecu with stand-alone is to much bulk. I have my reasons to do duel ecu I can’t say. Corsa technic has the female plug and pins but junk yard was 20$ for 5 if them with rubbber seals and block off pins. Just buy the pins off technic. They carry the pins for the male connection too.

Hey I got the jumper harness in and found out you need to ground out one wire via ign on or it will keep your relays on all the time. If you look at the diagram you will see all relays need this wire grounded for it to be useful on a35. Pin 13. That pin is grounded via Immo signal and decides to turn power the relays. I found this out because I was not getting power ground to any relays. Turns out my car lost key memory And would not power on. program my key and fixed the issue. I’m duel ecu And my emu was sharing power and ign but if you straight stand alone just ground out via switch or ign grounding relay to get them working.

I suspect someone accidentally put some type of washer fluid in the coolant tank causing that green coating. Keep it up man build is gonna be awesome.

Did u just sand the timing covers and spray them basicly or did u put a Base coat before the wrinkle black?
@Christofo2 жыл бұрын
Cleaned them up with hot water and dish soap, scuffed with a scotchbrite pad then just sprayed the wrinkle black, cured in an oven at 200F (could use a heat gun too)
