This helps ^ , JZ's are over engineered from factory, comparing to RB's especially, for chasing higher HP figures the stock head gaskets, oil pumps, pistons, rods etc all work, most other motors you are replacing them as you chase reasonable street car power levels.

The benny hill scene when the flange was funny! I was shown a tip a while ago, make a bar with two bolts that bolt into the flange, then it rests against the floor of the car, then use the biggest rattle gun you have or breaker bar. This works much better than just using the brakes of the car. Reason is the “give” in the diff takes all the momentum out of the gun and it just wont work as it cant impart all its torque to the bolt as the give through the mashed diff gears release too much of the torque to break tye bolt loose. bar works so much better as you take up that mesh and keep going. Using the bar bolted hard to the flange there is no give mind you be bloody careful that it is hard against the floor etc when you engage the rattle gun as it will whip around and take an eye out ( almost) ask me how i know..
