Lovely video. From what I've seen on KZbin, Oregon seem to take care of their highways much better than most U.S. states. Very high quality asphalt :)

Thank you Kyle, nice work brother! I'm from Gold Hill Oregon, live in hillsboro right now but working on retiring back HOME in the coming months, so glad, so homesick! We need the country to know about our blessed part of the world, the state has ignored the rogue Valley long enough! Southern Oregon is a better beautiful representative of this awesome state and NOT the concrete cities, amen! Godspeed beloveds, sending you my best love light from Oregon lorna pappe terrachristan

Good start to the season. I'll second the comments about the fire season....2020's was bad for the whole West Coast, not just CA. And watch for Bigfeet if you're driving at night....

Thank you for the trip. I moved from Portland about 26 years ago. I ended up about 30 mi north of Sacramento. For years I traveled this route to visit relatives and take care of rental property in Vancouver Washington. Since then I've sold off the Vancouver real estate and a number of my relatives are gone now so there isn't such a desire anymore to travel that way. I remember times when the snow was deep enough to close I-5 through the summit. But you could always find ways around so that wouldn't slow me down. Highway 99 worked. I had planned on one day returning to Oregon and maybe live in the Grants pass or Medford area but it's a lot more expensive than it used to be because of all those crazy Californians. So for the meantime I purchased a retirement home in Magalia California where it has a similar climate to Southern Oregon with occasional snow in the winter and a lot of sunshine in the summer.

I have been through Oregon twice with Greyhound. Both times was through the night. It is amazing how fast the climate changes. First trip was from Vancouver BC to San Francisco Second trip was from Vancouver BC to Phoenix AZ

We were just there last week visiting Mt Ashland Ski. ACTUALLY, 5 is SO boring !!!!!! At Siskiyou summit where Mt Ashland rd comes out to 5 we took old US99 back to our Rv in Phoenix and all the way to Grants Pass on our way home (US199 to Crescent City) Old 99 is the coolest road it takes a leisurely path thru rural Oregon and you can enjoy the sights of the backcountry along the way. !

From that point of view, Mount McLoughlin looks like a stratovolcano, even though at that latitude there isn't any major volcanoes before Crater Lake. The Cascades range is really something!

Thank you for showing this video with the beautiful sights. It must have been very hard for those first pioneers to come here. Too bad those native indians had to leave their homestead, driven off by greedy men. I feel very sorry for them. Greets from the Netherlands.

So.....Native people never fought neighboring tribes and pushed each other off land? Your statement is ignorance on parade.
