I drive the beltline every day, you forgot to mention Prairie Road, so many mills on that road and off of it. So many log haulers, chip haulers, major place for commerce in Eugene. I work at on of the mills.

Interesting tour....... We moved to Springfield, Oregon in 2009 after living in Orange County, CA. since 1981. It did take a few weeks of driving around to get the 'lay of the land' as it were, a bit longer than I would have expected. Oregon is a beautiful state, and even after 11 years, there's still some discoveries we haven't got to yet.........

Wow, great video! The scenery and music pairs well together and I love the information that you added into the video, it’s really interesting. I was wondering though: hope do you make the signs look so nice? Does someone take them live as you’re driving or do you use a different method? Great video and happy 10th anniversary! 👍
@InterstateKyle3 жыл бұрын
I make the signs from scratch except the ones I can’t duplicate because of some special font or sign used that’s not possible. I can get the fonts down to a tee.. mostly talking about exit signs here and distance signs.. so the other signs can be found on the internet with a quick search.
@MandMProductions443 жыл бұрын
@@InterstateKyle Oh wow that’s really cool! Do you use a special program on your computer that allows you to make highway signs?

Fantastic video! I love that you covered all the main roads in and around the city. It's interesting to me that the I-5 is named the Pacific Highway in Oregon, as the Pacific Highway is also the name of the highway between Sydney and Brisbane here in Australia. 😊

Fun factoid: the Native populations that were here before us used to avoid this entire area because their people just got sick and died here a lot.. a "valley of sickness & death" if you will.. not much has changed..

The West Eugene Parkway would have gone right through the middle of the West Eugene wetlands, an important ecosystem and migratory bird habitat, with a freeway splitting it right in half. It was a terrible idea. Currently, the bike path goes through there. It would have been a shame to lose that amazing bike path. LA built more freeways, and look at their traffic problems. Only made them worse.
