Happened to me in Proving Grounds a few weeks ago. We were down and fought hard to come back. I ended up hitting a 3, got a steal, and scored to bring us within 3. We got a stop and called Timeout with 1.5 seconds left. Since I had the hot hand, I got an EXCELLENT offball screen by my big, wide open 3 at the top, had Level 4 takeover that gave me a 99+ 3ball, and I bricked. All because I went 3/3 and RNG kicked in to make me miss my 4th shot which is the one that could’ve taken us to OT. Game is trash 🚮

My latitude and patience for 2K is wearing thin. The canned animations have to stop. I feel like a ragdoll with the tugging & pulling my player is going through on the court. I literally saw my player moonwalk back to the CPU who set a screen on a different player. Even though I wasn't involved in the play, I still got pulled into the animation because I was nearby. Also, I can feel the slow-down on my player driving to the basket and it's so frustrating. This is definitely NOT worth the $170 I invested into this game.

Yea, because they spam those same buttons and then go into shooting. It can cause stick drift. Just timing a dunk after dribbling sometimes makes u click the analog in while pressing down and then back up. Do it in my career when u have a goat skill. You’ll notice the goat skill activates.

I was concerned about this when Mike Wang said we can right stick on D, but if we right stick on the shot then we'll most likely get a foul. For years right sticking on the shot was the best way to get a contest, now something that has been a defensive staple for an eternity is a liability? it seems stupid. It's like when they first brought Deadeye in, you were better off not contesting, if you did contest the shot deadeye would kick in and they'd nail it more often than not, so it was better to just put yourself near them but not actually contest the shot. The simple correction to fix the game is to give us a pure green window. The higher your rating the bigger your window. Anything below a 75 should damn near be impossible to consistently, if at all, hit that window without using a zen. Then fix the contest system so that it also affects the size of your green window. The farther a defender is from you the biggee your green window. This way you reward good defense and good close outs to balance the game.

Shooting in general is terrible this year. Last few years I’ve been greening consistently in the practice arena but now I can’t even hit there. I’ve been playing mycareer too and I usually hit my shot consistently in there as well but everything is always off.

Even when open now when I see my player push and I release it still says “slightly early” and it usually happens when you shoot too often. I use stick rhythm shooting and still hit that window only like 42% because my character when either catching or moving has this RNG lag and it’s an animation where your character literally slows and then speeds up during shooting like it’s a quick shooting form. I do notice that whenever there’s a collision upon defense with you and AI there’s this slow down on just you as the AI moves you and outrun you every time.

Yeah yeah, shooting is screwed. Spent week on finding my jumpshot and practicing it in NBA games. Yesterday went to REC for first time, first game 7/11. Only 1 of my misses was like "i don't know what went wrong". Also got bad shooting animation once. I have 83 3pt and 87 mid range, played without any boosts or gatorades and without gym boost. Only thing that could screw shooting is a player base full of "i have jumpshot from this or other YTber and i shoot from half court with 90 3pt because this should be auto green". Find your shot on your own, practice it, take open shots, that's all. Not everyone needs to be like Koza, JoeKnows or other 2k pros.

I was shooting from 45% to 35% all wide open shoots 2k stop making it realistic and f**k the aimbots i'm here to casually play the game now its making me not play the game. 2k is cooked

Canned Animation like how I have my hands up he’ll go for a step back and my dude will literally put his hands DOWN for the dude to shoot a NON CONTESTED Jumper and on my controller I still have my stick facing upwards to initiate my hands up 😂😂😂. These canned animations are some of the worst I’ve seen in video game history, funny enough some of the worst things we’ve seen in gaming history all come from this very game we play.

This 2k is horrible I’ve played this franchise for over a decade… this is the most horrible game I’ve played in the history of gaming. What other franchise decides if you gone score a touchdown? Complete a pass? Score a soccer goal? This game is horrible Mike wang should be ashamed of himself.

Literally dont read into anything that 2k actually gives us. All the shit in the game doesn’t line up. Its sad we need other sites and people to tell us how the game actually works because none of the shit 2k gives us is at all accurate.
