I have 1000X more respect for Fultz than I do for players like Simmons or Whiteside - He had a rare, freak injury that took too long to diagnose while still irritating it with every misdiagnosed rehab. Still, he put his head down and grinded through the process to become a decent player. He did EVERYTHING he could but his shoulder just never recovered.

@JKLauderdale3 ай бұрын
@@paijo1503 Did you see what Miami paid him? Then, after getting his bag, he failed to show and complained that he was being left out of the games... Whiteside was a NIGHTMARE for us, especially when you consider we were still dealing with Bosh's 5yr, 2x/month contract. Not blaming Bosh, SHTF with his career and it's NOT his fault. Still, that set us back for a few years. I was SCREAMING for them to push Bam fwd in the rotation. They FINALLY did so in 2018? 2017?, due to some sorta injury that sidelined Whiteside - That whole post-LBJ era of Whiteside, Waiters and Winslow was a fkn nightmare for us. IMO, we'd have been better off keeping and developing Precious and slotting him at 5 while letting Bam play a stretch-4 role.

Fultz NEVER had an injury. He has neurogenic-Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. That is cause by a nerve compression in his right thoracic outlet at the base of his neck. He never had a shoulder injury. That was a misdiagnosis since the steroid injection he received made no improvement. Physical therapy helped only so much. But now it looks like he has a chronic knee issue, which is the real reason why no one wants to take a chance.
@jerry25a3 ай бұрын
As far as the cause of his n-TOS, since it began during the summer after he was drafted, it could have resulted from too much weight lifting or something improper during getting ready for the NBA.

There was no hype for 2013 draft, 2017 draft was hyped up big time. People had way bigger expectations for Fultz. Personally I think Fultz isn't a bigger bust than Bennet, Fultz was legit a starter for Orlando and looked like a guard who can get minutes anywhere, but I can see why someone would think Fultz is the biggest bust.
