It was a pleasure meeting all of you in Milwaukee. Sorry I crashed your breakfast. The HD Museum was great and the Iron Horse is “ THE” place to stay.

Awesome vid gentlemen! I've got a '24 road glide limited and I have issues with my coolant also. Rode it home in August at 100°+ with no coolant for about 200 miles. After a few trips to the shop, I still lose a bit of coolant every few hundred miles. Stay safe y'all 🙏
@2LaneLifeАй бұрын
Thanks for sharing. Yea, he never had an issue with engine temps luckily. That's interesting that the '24 limited has a similar issue as that's not the updated coolant system on the rest of the '24 models as we understand. Either way, we hope you've got it all figured out. Thanks for tuning in!

I swapped my dyna from mids to forwards years ago and im 5'11". I've done 500 mile days and a ton of 2-300, was always more comfortable with forwards. Guess it depends on the person and overall setup. Ive got a good seat and comfortable bars. Now that i have a bagger, I'm considering swapping back since its mostly a local bike now that gets ridden like an idiot
@2LaneLifeАй бұрын
Good stuff! I think it was mostly the very low bars that make this setup interesting to deal with ergonomically. The seat too. Sounds like you're doing it right. Long haul bike and a local cruiser! Thanks for tuning in👍

Enjoying your videos. Question about hot weather riding.....do yall ever use the "cool vests"? If so....what's your thoughts and tips on them? worth it, or just something else to carry and be in the way. I didn't realize yall did the Four Corners Rally. While we didn't attend the rally, the was the first weekend I had my Road Glide Special and took off from Texas to NM and up thru Cottonwood Pass in Colorado. We were just a few hours west of ya. If ya saw a Scorched Orange/Black road glide like your old one (with a tour pack and lowers added)....it was possibly us depending on your route...LOL. Did 1400 miles in 4 days basically and really enjoyed the mtns of Colorado and New Mexico. Nice to get out of the heat of Texas for a bit.
@2LaneLifeАй бұрын
Thanks for tuning in! We've tried the cooling vests, but in our experience even the ones that soak overnight end up being dry after 15 minutes in 100+ degree dry desert temps. We've heard of some people wearing them under a vest or under perforated layers which will help to retain moisture and lengthen the amount of time the cooling takes place. The downside to that would be when it dries up, you now have an extra layer on and if there's not a reasonable area or time to pull over, then it's back to square one. Whatever gear works for YOU is the best gear, but it's always worth trying new things. Sounds like you had some great travels, that's what we like to hear!

I'm interested to know if the two lane fellas miss their lower fairings now that they are rolling without them. I just got my first ultra and love the vented lowers.🍻

Having lowers on the last bikes was definitely nice, especially in the rain and on windy days. Having put some miles down on the new bikes, we've gotten used to not having them
