I knew this chap was good but I didn't realize just what a fabulous guitarist he is...I've been trawling through much of his stuff and I am completely rapt by his artistry....this song is brilliant but his version of shine silently (actually any of his versions) just blows me away and brings tears to my eyes. Exactly, I knew his name but was not at all familiar with his tremendously expressive and emotional way of playing. I believe I listened to this song ten times in a row. An acoustic explosion of colors in which you can wander for hours.

I have been an admirer of Nils since 'shine on' first aired, his part in the e street band is fully justified, of which 'Youngstown' shows his talent to the full, his apprenticeship in the Laurel Canyon band of musicians was a big part of his growth.
